@hazmat2142 Ejecting just leaves the ship, but there is a self destruct which leaves the ship and explodes it behind you. One of my corpmates once ejected from a carrier when attacked by some of our enemies. He's not in our corp anymore; there's no excuse for giving our enemies a free carrier instead of exploding hilariously.
I play EVE and I approve of this video. It makes me lol every time.

@RoyCoert hahaha, love it when people say this. no not everyone stops playing because "the controls r too hardz". The skill system makes it very boring when starting out. I joined a corp that basically supplied all my ship needs so there was no point in doing anything except skilling up. before you say anything, fuck missioning.

I've played EVE for a few months, at least 450+ in-game hours, and while I'm certain that's nothing compared to more active players*, it's enough for me to know that Eve has SO much room for improvement... So much so, I wouldn't even know where to begin. EVE has a lot of strong points, but for each of them, there's at least 20+ downsides.
* = In WoW, I had over 250 days in-game played before I finally quit :P
@yakooza Wasted isn't the word I'd use. I met many amazing people in WoW, one of which in particular I have to thank for the very well paying job I currently have. For many people, sure, it's all wasted time (as is all fun, really), and I'm extremely glad I was able to have so much fun with such amazing people who probably knew me better than people do in real life.
Agreed. CCP would probably benefit from advertising Eve University, RvB or any of the noob friendly corp. Before I get flamed, I know many corps love their noobs; because their frigs lock down; the corp collects taxes from them; eventually that noob will get into BS, etc. etc.. There's just some corps that are better at actively teaching and accepting noobs. It took me almost a year to join a corp, one of the best thing a noob can do. Certainly much better than hiding in hisec mish/mining.

First of all, be prepared to invest 3-6 months of time before the game really, really starts to open up. This game is not like "Star Wars" with breakneck speed and lasers flying every where and dogfights, etc. This game is like "2001: A Space Odyssey" in terms of "feel" Really good, but certainly not for everyone. @HCShuffle u actually have no idea of eve, I have benn in fights with 3000+ People in one system...we won 500 losses enemy had 1800 losses, that was one of the most exiting days in eve, if u are near to die in an expensive ship your hearts pulse is about a 150...if you die you think holy fucking crap that bitch killed me...and youre pissed some minutes...and when u are about to really quit the game...u put another skill in and think after a few days, that was too cool, start the client again...

@Jeycihn The amazing dog fights talked about in this vid get much better after a month or so of experience. I was like that at first too. I remember having trouble with most high end Level 1 missions and such. Now I blow through them in the worst possible frigate. This game just takes time to get into. After the first month or two it starts to open up a tiny bit. I'm not an elitist and I've never met a player who was an elitist in EVE because theres just too much to learn
Just started the game, it's a bit boring so far, but I really like the scope and basis of it, so I will probably keep at it for a while and hope it gets more entertaining. lol.

p.s. - i just started playing it again after some years, it's not THIS boring. but it's also not that exiting. it's just complex and goal driven, and probably more suited for mature people....with really high quality sedatives,

@Jeycihn The amazing dog fights talked about in this vid get much better after a month or so of experience. I was like that at first too. I remember having trouble with most high end Level 1 missions and such. Now I blow through them in the worst possible frigate. This game just takes time to get into. After the first month or two it starts to open up a tiny bit. I'm not an elitist and I've never met a player who was an elitist in EVE because theres just too much to learn

lol, even though this vid is completely inaccurate and dosn't show any dog fighting, it was kinda funny
He should come on one of my mining ops (30 ships which 9 are mine alone)
And if he really wants to dog fight just go to Zero Securtiy space (want las long enough to engage weapons however)...unless you are me ; )

What happened with me..
This... then I got bored and wondered into low sec space...
I was torn up by pirates, they saw I was new and offered me an invitation to join their corp instead of being pod killed.
I was fitted out with a bad ass ship and within a week was rollin in my drake with the pirates.
Now I make huge explosions and kill carbear morons who think the only way to make cash in this, is the easy way.

Just started the game, it's a bit boring so far, but I really like the scope and basis of it, so I will probably keep at it for a while and hope it gets more entertaining. lol.
