One of my friends on 13 can do it in 40 seconds too, good job. However if this was in Denmark you would have 20 seconds only left to run to your uniform and to rush into the firetruck. In Denmark there is a rule every fire department needs to drive out of the station 1 minute after the alarm goes off. In this case 40 seconds is very slow, but it's indeed great work of a 13 year old.

now try doing it after u get your hart rate up while other people push past you to get their gear on and then race to the first due truck m. im guessing your a jr or an explorer you should stick with it it is defiantly worth it. idk about ur department but i got in at 17 cuz i was a junior for 5 years. and i knew my scott pack better than the 35 year olds i was taking classes with at the fire academy .

Hey bud. No matter what everyone else says, you did a great job. It dosent matter how fast it takes you to get your gear on unless your going to become a career firefighter. You just have to do everything right. This includes the fact that yes you did forget to pull up your nomex, but you usually dont need it unless your putting a mask on and going inside, just make sure its around your neck and under your coat. second the gloves over the wristlet. It also dosent matter, Just BE READY!

I think you're right about the hood, but no fireman puts the SCBA on at the firestation, as far as I know. That is done in the truck as they drive. And he's still ready for MVA's and such. The hood: well..yes, it was pointless.
