P.S: u dont HAVE to care about this... -_-

  • Halloween music

  • This finale will always give me goosebumps.

  • There's definitely parts of Umetsu's "Dancing Mad" that were inspired by this, particularly in that song's 3rd movement.

  • 1:12 ~ 1:25 BANKAI!!

  • i love this song so much.

  • shit this is cool i want to play it on piano

  • IMHO, to attempt to describe this as simply "pure math made to music" ignores the greatest aspect of Bach's magisterial BWV565 - a heart and mind on fire, and music that passionately celebrates all that is great and wonderful about art and SDG. This piece has always elicited a deep, profoundly emotional response from me - it resonates in my heart and soul. That is far more than math or logic. It is the spirit on fire.

  • @timwat that's why it resonates in your heart and soul. i makes perfect sense to your subconscious. it crosses the mid-line between the left a right brain. because of music theory and math and sound. you just don't realize it.

  • Couple hundred years, this song still hasn't gotten old.

Listening to this song I feel like the cliché dude that's always playing some wiked organ music when the main character of a movie walks into the scary castle. =P

  • THISSS!!! I love this shit

  • The cutest girl watching this clip, I love her.

  • First time I heard this piece...I believe it was Fantasia.

    One of my favorite compositions~

  • Me = *Jaw Drop*

  • Its a fucking Masterpiece

  • You know amazing that the first time i heard this was Gyruss, love that and this, very nice.

  • No one out there to challenge me that this is pure math made to music?

  • LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • This is the shit. Try to figure it out like a math proof, good luck.

  • Interview with a vampire, ftw

  • Love it.

  • Okay, which a-hole gave Boyber a YouTube account? (check the dislike bar again)

  • Favorite part: 8:45 ish on, the strongest of many audible orgasms in this piece.

  • Or Frankenstein?

  • @RaySingh87 It was used in The Phantom of the Opera and Tales from the Crypt.

  • @TheAltair4 I thought it was used in Dracula? Or maybe Frankenstein or Jekyll & Hyde?

  • @RaySingh87 It's been used in a lot of classic horror films. I don't think it was ever used in Universal's Dracula or Frankenstein though.

  • Dracula? I thought this was from Jekyll & Hyde?

  • Blasting this in my house early in the morning. best way to wake up with my coffee.

  • @mlemurph Oh no problem.

    The song is amazing nonetheless:)

  • @mlemurph No hah, that is simply not true

"Excellent performance of the introduction to J.S. Bach’s classic “Toccata and Fugue in D minor,” known from the famous musical “The Phantom of the Opera,”"

  • Beethoven disliked the video

  • @hareega LOL! No, Beethoven was a great admirer and student of Bach's music.

  • @counterpoint85 then it was Wofgang Amadaeus (i think thats his name)

  • @counterpoint85 just because beethoven admired his music and awas a student doesnt mean he wasnt jealous ;D

  • @counterpoint85 Hell with whoever disliked it they just hate classical music. :P Let's just enjoy Bach's greatest piece ever made and ignore the dislikes... :P

  • @counterpoint85 lmao

  • @hareega It was probably Mozart.

  • @hareega No, that would be Salieri.

  • @hareega It wasn't people that disliked this. It was the other holidays. They're jealous of Halloween, holidays lik Easter and Thanksgiving. For not having their own masterpieces.

  • Is this not from Dracula?

  • @RKO1492 *thunders booms* Mwahahahhahaha yes it is

  • @RKO1492 @DeathLee28 it's from phantom of the opera-_-

  • @clutchfan256 no shit. its IS in d minor dude.

  • THIS IS A CELEBRATION

  • I could always play this every halloween night

  • WHY DO I GET GOOSEBUMPS?!?!?!?!?!!?!!?

  • This is my favorite piece by Bach.

  • This song (the beginning parts that are fastish) is the solo of Hotel California, but the Eagles play it slower than Bach did.

  • heard in music class XD

  • I prefer the version when Dracula sings this in the Phantom of the Opera.

  • AMDG

  • Of the 50 or so times I've heard this played, Kleiger's rendition is still my favorite!

  • why do i feel like in a movie enetering to hell? xD

  • You guys should listen to Steve Ouimettes version. Very impressive on both works.

  • OMG I can't stop listening to this song, perhaps I'm becoming addicted, and need an intervention quick lol! Love this song, such a brilliant masterpeice,my friend however calls it,"zombie music" lolz lolz, but who cares this music rules!!!

  • 2:40 the best part

  • @LamaRoid you mean at the split second pause? lol

  • @LamaRoid YES!

  • now this is what i am talking about!!!!!!! happy Halloween y'all!!!

  • It didn't move me very much. Didn't like the registration. Agreed, MC Alain would be unamused. Not poor, though, but personal tastes prevail.

  • Yes, nice performance.

Sounds like a clean clear Marcussen instrument.

Don't like the notes at 1:20.

    Why do some do that?

Like the changes to contrasting manuals.

    Marie-Clair Alain would not approve.

Must all be on same manual with same stops.

Do not like full organ at the end.

Expected a cadenza from this performance.

    Nice performance!

  • Notes at 1:20, I agree with you. He needs to watch those cadences, as so many don't.

There is another recording of MC Alain playing this at St. Sulpice, she seems to change manuals there (if my memory serves me correctly).

  • Marcussen, or Metzler? I'd say Metzler.

  • Excellent performance.

  • Is this a Marcussen organ?
