Should run fine as long as your other specs are on the right level. You don't need a 295 to run games maxed, the 295 just shits on all games.

Yes it wiil. I have EVGA GTX-260-216@650Mhz, AMD Phenom II 710 3x2,6Ghz, and 4GB RAM, Win7x64 and i have 30-60 Fps(VSync On, framerate relly on game's actions intense) on Ultra settings, DX10, AAx4 and 1920x1080.

Buying I7 is wasting money, better price/effectivness had AMD proccesors.

Better results, you will get by buying 2+ SSD Hard Drive (1 for OS, one for games, and antoher for downloading), or SATA3 HDD.

Buying GTX295 is fine, when you want play with maxed settings and res on 30"+ LCD.

lol do you research before you say i7 is a waste of money. If you had 2 GTX260's you'd understand. I've got two XFX GTX 260 black editions with Q6600. My FPS would double if I had core i7. I'm planning on upgrading ASAP. And by the way Phenom sucks right now. You should wait for AMD to release processors to DIRECTLY compete with Core i7.

Did you really believe that paying 400$ more for i7 is worth extra 10-20fps if you already got 30-60fps on Phenom? Better option is investing money in good display/LCD, or SSD Hard Drive.

Phenom in compare with Intel's CPU's in tjhe same price range, simply pound them.

I was building my system 6months ago, and overclock PIIX3-710 from 2,6Ghz to 3,1Ghz without even changing the voltage!.

I have already invested in a great monitor, went from a 19 to a 24, HP LP2475W one of the BEST monitors after calibration. Haven't gotten SSD because it costs to much but I am still willing to pay a premium for the BEST. Phenom is just great bang for buck but so is i5. i7 is for the enthusiasts out there but you still get alot for the money put in. you won' t have to upgrade for a LONG time compared to i5 which intel will probably abandon. I mean seriously the 8 cores work only on LGA1366.
