Period..Since 1970 he has consistently created music (with Bernie Taupin) that has been the soundtrack of our lives. 24LROD is right on by saying that Elton is right up there with music's royalty..he actually could own the thrown! I believe that he was born with it...the gift of music. He is just THAT talented. He's not my favorite..I'm hard core Skynyrd. But hey, you must give credit where it's due!

To be fair, I have no idea how pop culture (tv, music, films, etc.) is in Puerto Rico, but in the U.S. and England, homosexuality doesn't factor in to a performer's success.
