  • Since this is a full suspension bike, shouldn't you bottom out the rear suspension?

  • Thanks, you guys are great! Concise but conceptually easy instructions. Keep it up!

  • i dont understand how this doesn't explain how to change a bike chain, he tells you everything you need to know plus you can use a bit of logic when changing it its not that hard.

  • You don't need that special pin for shimano chains. I run a 9 speed dura ace shimano chain and always use a 9 speed sram powerlink and I have never had any problems with shifting or the chain breaking ever. Just because they say don't do it doesen't mean it doesen't work. I can remove my chain anytime I want in a minute without pushing out rivets or anything and it works. You can reuse the link also when you buy a new chain.

  • This is excellent .. . .Well illustrated and explained ..

  • This is the best bike chain tutorial I found. Also the best bike in any bike chain tutorial =p

  • does anybody know how to take the chain off if you dont have that tool?

  • Took a while but excellent info, cheers.

  • should have explained the reasons behind the chain length, otherwise I did learn some useful things from this video and he presents nicely, GJ.

  • best video on youtube for resizing a chain! after looking for a long time... thank you very much off to resize tmoz

  • Crap vid. Get a script and dont say things like, "really really saggy" then,"really really dirty" especially in a camp voice.

U showed NOTHING, did u look back on the vid before posting it? Did you consider people who do not know much about bikes? For example what the hell was that tool? And what the hell did it do? And what were you looking for with the second method of deciding chain length? I know these answers but not because I learnt it from you!

Now i'm really really angry!! lol

  • ? he said it was a chainwear checker, try listening properly. Looks pretty obvious to me.

  • @OrangeCrushUK

no he means what was the chain link remover calle and what does it loke like up close adn what does it do.

  • Lol guess I should of checked that as my bike chain snapped today. It lasted 3 years so i guess it was due for a replacement lol.

  • thanks man, you helped me

  • Great video, but I would like to see more zooms when use the tools. Thanks for the video
