He started in the 1st gear. the 5th gear is the gear that the z06 hits topspeed. the 6th gear of the z06 is the cruising gear (120km/h at 1600 rpm) with a very long transmission ratio and can theoretically hit 447 km/h. The new ZR1 RK will have a "normal" transmission ratio where the topspeed will be hit with the 6th gear.
