  • The only bad thing about Hitchen's videos is having to occasionally listen to the moron speak that always comes from his opponents

  • At the end 'God gives you what you desire'. Really?? I want a pony!

  • "And I won't be coming back to bother you!" Hahahahahhahahahahahaaa!!

  • Hutchens forgets that Christ invited all of his disciples to pick up their own cross and follow him. The argument that Christianity is sadistic is uninformed and ignorant at best.

  • @MykelGLarson

God brutally murdered his own son, as a Blood Sacrifice to forgive human beings; For the "Crime" of being born as humans beings. John 3:16

    How is this not sadistic?

God's Angels Torture innocent people for 5 months. Revelation 9:4-6

    How is this not sadistic?

  • Thoughts are material, they are electric impulses run on expansive networks of neurons in the brain. As he says, kill the brain, you kill the thoughts. So sick of these metaphysical, quasi-scientific, mystical douchebags with this tired line of anti reason...

  • If he could have just cut down on the booze and tobacco a bit, we'd have a strong voice for reason alive for at least another 10 years. Gone but not forgotten, Christopher, you were one of a kind!

  • Christopher Hitchens can not disprove a god exist. That's a fact. But this pansy with the glasses can't prove their is a god. I can neither prove or disprove there is a god

  • @DoubleR2591 Yep.. but Christopher Hitchens uses logic and scientific thinking to come to conclusions. The other guy uses prejudice and biased based opinions, which most likely stem from a childhood of indoctrination.

  • @zemlamusic Isn't that how most people are? They were indoctrinated as children to believe this? Though I believe in god, I just don't take the Christian perspective that Jesus is god. There is a video of George Carlin that said children should question what they are told. I thought he was dead on

  • @DoubleR2591

Actually, current knowledge of physic disproves existence of god in our universe.

Even if god does exist somewhere outside he is incapable to interact with our universe because laws of physic do not allow such interactions without complete recreation of whole universe.

  • @deltaxcd And this is the belief a deist would hold. God exist but he does his own thing, and does mess with us. Haha

  • @DoubleR2591

Unfortunately deism is not that popular to be taken into account.

  • @deltaxcd No, it is not.

  • @DoubleR2591

It's not Christopher Hitchen's job (Or Any Atheist's Job) to "Disprove God".

It is the Theist that must provide Evidence... and they have repeatedly failed to do so for the past 4000 years =^_^=

  • @BlankPicketSign Of course it is. Just like in a courtroom the burden of proof lies with the prosecution.

  • @DoubleR2591

I personally do not believe in any gods or supernatural claims.

I am even comfortable enough to say that certain logical concepts (Such as a god who is Always Merciful and Always carries out Justice) do not exist, by their very definitions.

But I Never claim "Absolute Certainty"

And I welcome any and all evidence that would prove me wrong =^_^=

  • @BlankPicketSign I believe god exist or a supreme being. However, I will fully admit I'm not 100% sure of it. I would say about 75% certain there is a god, but not entirely. And like he said, you can not prove nor disprove the existance of a god, gods, godesses.

  • @DoubleR2591 Im rather sure there is a God. But the whole bible thing , not a chance. However I think that God doesnt give a rats fuzzy ass about us. He has bigger fish to fry. ( so to speak)

  • @megawelderguy There are a lot of parts of the bible I do not agree with. Also I don't like organized relgion. So I'm not part of an religous denomination.

  • @DoubleR2591 I dont buy any of the bible for many reasons , one being this question. what is the single most mentioned word in the Bible? Its the word wine. That tells me that some drunks wrote it. ( that explains the tall tales in it)

  • @megawelderguy Hell I can do all kinds of stuff in an Alcoholic haze. ( well I think I can) but I dont write it down like it is a historical event.

  • @megawelderguy Well that's one of the many things that is wrong with it. The bible isn't a bad book, it only becomes a bad book when someone (crazy christian) takes it out of context

  • @DoubleR2591

    My position is simply this.

If there is not enough evidence to support the existence of something, there is no good reason to believe it exists.

There is no evidence of the existence of gods, therefore, I do not believe =^_^=

  • @BlankPicketSign That is a very simplistic stance. Makes sense. Even thouigh I believe in a god, i still believe that god might not exist. I was watching a YouTube video, I think its by the AtheistExperience, not sure. However, she said you are either an Agnostic Atheist or an Agnostic Theist. I am a theist because I believe in god, but I'm also agnostic in the sense I cant prove there is a god

  • @DoubleR2591

    I love that show =^_^=

And I am very happy to meet you, You are the first Theist I have ever met that actually uses those terms both correctly and intelligently.

I hope there are more people out there that share your insight.

  • @BlankPicketSign Why thank you :). I'm sure there are other Theists out there who still believe but use their rationale and logic rather than simply "faith." And I don't believe everything a "normal christian" believes in. We should talk more about religion and other various topics. :D

  • @DoubleR2591

    I'd like that =^_^=

  • @BlankPicketSign I think that God (planted) the chemicals for us all to exist. ( through evolution) Then he took a nap . ( for the next 500 trillion years ) The big Bang was him farting. Got gets no beans.

  • @megawelderguy

    O_o...

Interesting idea. Though the universe is only 14 billion years old... so that is a loooooong nap.

  • @BlankPicketSign Hey Ive took long naps before , but I burned one first. Theres nothing like a long nap. LOL

  • @megawelderguy Billion , trillon whos counting at that point.

  • @megawelderguy

Is the comment above what you actually believe or are you just trolling ^_^

  • @BlankPicketSign I dont believe, I know and what I know is that I dont know . Im rather sure there is or was a god. But if he is there he must be napping.

  • @megawelderguy

I don't believe any gods exist.

It would be REALLY COOL if their was thought, think of all the testing =^_^=

A new renewable energy source! Divine Energy! Just like in D&D!

  • @BlankPicketSign By the way what is trolling ? It sounds like going out to a bar looking for ugly chicks

  • i believe in god but i hate religion :)

  • @WASTEDgameplay

What is it that you believe?

I'm not being an ass XD I'm actually curious

  • Can someone give me MODERN miracles that prove Christianity is real? Keep in mind this miracle has to be UNIQUE to Christianity. I'm not looking for evidence for a general theism, but a specific religion (aka Christianity).

And also, if your proof involves the logic of "since science can't explain it, that means God did it", then fair warning: i won't accept this kind of proof that invokes essentially the gap of knowledge.

  • @Casshyr good question, it will never be answered because none of them will be able to point to an event.... I'll ask that the next time I run into a religious nut lol

  • @Casshyr Good question. Im gonna use that one on the next bible thumper.

  • Turek looks like the second version of the Terminator Cromartie from Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles.

  • Kudos to Christopher. I can't imagine being able to sit in that conversation without punching the Christian in the face.

  • this video has been posted under like 18 titles

  • the other debater is like a weak, scared, doubtful Christian Bale

  • Comment removed

  • This guy kinda reminds me of Sam Harris in the way he speaks, except for, well you know, being an absolute religious nut.

  • This "BELIEVER" seems juuuuuust a lil stressed, AND A TAD BIT "uncomfortable" ?especially at the very end, lol i smell " DOUBT" lol god gives u what u desire, then slaps his lips together, ! he is very uncomfortable, there-for " UNSURE" ! Face & body language poeple> thee eyes 2........

  • To the guy 'arguing' with Hitchens, I quote Thomas Paine: "To argue with a man who has renounced his reason is like giving medicine to the dead. Credit to Hitchens for giving medicine to the dead and whilst not succeeding to persuade him, makes him look stupid.

  • the other guy's logic is as reasonable as logic that support harry potter

  • The other guy is just rambling incoherent bullshit and not giving a clear structured counter argument.

Someone obviously didn't take an essay based subject at A-Level.

  • "God gives you what you desire."

Than why isn't Scarlett Johansson giving me a topless blowjob right now?

  • @mellowmark1

    Because it's a sin

  • @zerubabel3

Did you know it's also a sin for your child to be unruly according to your holy book, and by penalty you are supposed to stone them? I am interested in your response to that, but I'm pretty sure I've already heard it before. But if you are really going to play that card, then why is there a starving child in Africa somewhere right now who desires food but does not receive it? Is eating a sin as well?

  • @zerubabel3

It's also a sin to work on the Sabbath. A Crime punishable by a slow and painful Death.

Do you support the execution of people who work on the Sabbath?

Do YOU Work on the Sabbath?

Would you cast the stone yourself to end the life of a sinner? Who's Only Crime was working on the Sabbath?

  • @BlankPicketSign

    I'm Catholic, what's Sabbath? ;)

  • @zerubabel3

I find it fascinating how the religious can rip one page out of their bible and scream another from the roof tops.

Answer me this then... Is the Bible the True, Perfect Word of God?

  • Comment removed

  • Poor Turek. Pretending he's up to taking on Hitchens.

  • Did he say "I'd give to you what you desire" at the very end? What an unspeakable, diluted, bag of fuck that man is. Religion is destroying so much. There is still so much human potential to be unlocked and this religious bullshit is accomplishing nothing but separating humanity, diminishing the minds of billions, and acting as a totalitarian force, a tool for the masters of this world to oppress those billions. Stupid, ignorant, and fearful people are easy to control and sap.

  • @Thisnamewasnotaken "God gives to you"

  • @Thisnamewasnotaken No. He said "God gives you what you desire," since Hitchens has just celebrated the truth of his own mortality. . . This is the time-honored manner of the sanctimonious to wish someone to drop dead but to wash his hands of culpability for such a wish by using God as his attack dog.

  • hahahahahaha 'god gives you what you desire'

  • @A9019047

Still waiting for my extra 3 inches. :(

  • religion is for loosers who are afraid of the truth, enjoy life while its here and dont waste it worring about some god that dosent exist. i llive a good life and have morals and treat people with respect because i know its the right thing to do,not because im afraid of some god that will punish me if i dont, which is a far more noble pursuit.

  • I bet they told the religious subspecies: "who wants to have debate with an atheist?" they all went "I will do it!" "Ok you are up against Christopher Hitchens." "............. Oh..... erm..... I can't actually I have to feed Jesus's cat."

  • Oh. Was it 'deserve' or 'desire'? Either way, the statement is ridiculous. Honestly. God actually giving someone what they desire or intervening at all is laughable. And it's still shitty of him to not conduct himself with some composure during a debate. Even if he is getting trounced.

  • What a shitty little man Hitchens has for an opponent here. Really, that ending? "God gives you what you deserve"? How really graceful. I think it shows quite a bit who's on hanging onto the ropes and who's still on their feet in this round.

  • Turek wasn't expecting this trouncing he got here.....It shows in his manner and his tone. He must be used to delivering this shallow rhetoric, unchallenged, to a friendlier audience, and with no logical challenge?

  • This is like watching Dolph Lundgren beat the shit out of Gary Coleman.

  • I laughed so hard at the end, "...and I don't wish it otherwise". "Well god gives you what you desire". <-------- HA this guy is so rattled

  • The imbalance in intellect and strength of argument here is enormous and rather sad.

  • 5:28 -its so sad and desperate at the end, the religious guy whispers, 'god gives you what you desire'.

  • The bible outlines who and how I man sleep with another person... doesn't that put it in the sex manual section?

  • @Academician100 well obsereved now slap a +18 sticker on every bible you see xD

  • @12Monkeys8u

I suggest a visit to your friendly neighborhood psychiatrist =^_^=

  • @BlankPicketSign I suggest that you have faith. If you don't believe me, you'll go to hell. >=:o]

  • @12Monkeys8u See you there.

  • @12Monkeys8u

    Excuse me?!

I don't know what country you live in, But I live in the United States of America!

And over here, we have something called Freedom of Religion! I am free to practice any faith or belief I choose... Or None At All!

And the Government can not punish me in ANY way for my beliefs.

So if your "god" is so evil, so vile that he would punish me for my Atheism, then he is Un-American and Anti Freedom! And I want NOTHING to do with him/

    Good Day to you sir!

  • @BlankPicketSign Look at my other posts here, it's irony/sarcasm - get it?

  • the other guy is...... ah fuck it

  • seriously the christian guy sounds like a markov model

  • Lol, have you seen christian mathematics... and reason. Uhm, well if you use our calculations about how many people would be on earth if it was 6 k years with our population growth calculations for that 6 k... then if you plug that into your estimate about how old the world is there is too many people! Fuck sake people are idiots.

  • @dolerbom The ones I have seen are pretty flawed if you could show me one I would gladly see if it correct. Here is a video debunking at least one of these claims:

    /watch?v=R6XWw7KwJkg&feature=g-u-u&context=G208d204FUAAAAAAAPAA

  • next time you are having a discussion, ask a religious person if they can prove their religious text without using the very same text. enjoy.

  • @mitchnesbitt Yeah, for all the crying about people being stupid, seeing a couple of these idiots loop around their own nonsense is sometimes just really amusing :P

  • @mitchnesbitt they cant , Ive sent many bible thumpers packing with that same question.

  • @megawelderguy exactly!

  • Yes, Religion is about Power. The brilliance of Jesus though was that his message was not about Power. Most of his teachings is a warning against using religion as a source of power. He understood that religious piety leads to tyranny. What did he demonstrate at the Last Supper. The Son of God gets up from the head of the table, takes off his robe down to his underwear, kneels down and washed his disciples feet.

  • i love Hitchens and i think he is great. However, it gets to me a wee bit that he usually interrupts peoples points with little comments. Even though i totally agree with him, id like to hear the religious points of view without interruption.

  • god gives you what you desire? yeah right dude!

  • @shatterjack If so, one of them would have joined the other's side. Proving by default that the Preacher is a fool

  • religious people have one worst nightmare. clever people

  • religion= fairy tales+ faith

  • Whenever you hear someone say "I feel" or "I believe" as the basis for their arguement, and they don't admit it's a guess or a hope, then they can't be taken seriously.

  • How is it you use reason for every endeavor of your life, and then when it comes to the ultimate truth say that “faith” is required?

What kind of "GOD" requires "faith" instead of evidence? Faith is the excuse people give for believing in something when they don't have evidence.

The nature of a rational mind does not believe on something if it lacks evidence

A “fictitious god” expects that you believe without evidence

Beliefs are not justified when there is no evidence

  • THAT RELIGIOUS "JACKASS CAN'T PROVE THAT "GAWD" EXIST JUST LIKE SANTA CLAUSE OR THE GOOD TOOTH FAIRY....

YOUR NEVER CALLED ON TO PROVE A NEGATIVE ...

THE PROOF IS ALWAYS ON THE ONE WHO MAKES THE CLAIM ...

THAT'S WHY YOU NEED TO HAVE "FAITH" THAT GOD EXIST OR "be - LIE - f" IN "GAWD"...

"GAWD" ONLY EXIST IN THE MINDS OF MEN AND THAT IS WHERE HE, SHE, OR IT SHOULD STAY...

Faith and beliefs" are NOT moral attributes.

Why would you believe anything on “faith”? Faith is NOT a pathway to TRUTH.

  • where is the evidence that the evidence you are talking about exists? who ever just got hitch slapped in this video

  • Napoleon best said it best religion is what keeps the poor from killing the rich

  • HAha the guy arguing for god is an aboslute moron. I love when hitchens said "haha i got him to say it" no matte ho is arguing it , the debate of religion vs non religion will always have religion loosing badly

  • Haha, "God gives you what you desire." And in that moment, all pretense of discussion is gone, all claims to professionalism are burned in the fire of self-righteous, pigheaded, lame-brained, dogmatic moral superiority complexes.

  • When this Christian guy speaks, it seems he's either giving his personal opinion, claiming "you can't disprove God" (all well and good, but so many other things can we also not disprove), or just quoting out of the Bible.

    What a compelling argument.

  • Yes, I miss Christopher too. I learned a lot from him, especially how to piss religionists off! :)

  • Christopher Hitchens. How I do mourn your passing.

  • @npw350 There is a magical place. A real place, Its called a liquor store. Buy many bottles of booze, get as many hookers as you can. Party like a mad man.

    I say thats appropriate. c:

  • @npw350 by spreading his Word. Christopher died for our intellect, and only through Him are we absolved of our ignorance. let's start a church D:

  • @guthix222 What a good laugh this gave me. A church? Do you think our Holy Father Christopher would approve?

  • religion is ALL about power

the power to in slave others

the power to keep women as serfs

  • that christian is brainwashed, it amazes me

  • It's funny that the professional theist speakers babble the same bullshit as any old Youtube Christian.

  • @ErectileFunk the only difference is that he has studied the fairytales in the bible

  • @SeanMDolan The only difference is that he has a piece of paper declaring he has studied the fairytales in the bible.

  • @ErectileFunk haha yeah i forgot to add the certificate part, he earned it!

  • When mankind begins to evolve...

Then the religious will either be left behind, or they will drag us down.

  • @ClockworkGearhead Agreed...

  • Omar Khayam was almost certainly refuting Sufism. Apparently he was not persecuted as a heretic my the Islamic clergy.Highly recommend the English translation published by Penguin. It's not a eloquent as the Fitzgerald version, but it's remarkable in its own way.

  • That Christian can add all his scientific words which I doubt he even knows and mix them with his religious rambles and science will always win.

  • "The evidence is there" I've looked - it's not.

  • @daskalaka, Try looking in the Bible! And if you cant find it, its because you are not religion-ing hard enough!!!

  • @smithcas86 xD

  • All I hear is babble when the other guy speaks, unlike Christopher's points which are always well explained and logical.

  • @spooney89 yea coz religion is like politics, its all a trick to make you feel like a worm.

  • @spooney89 If christians are not evolved from monkeys y do they babble like gibbons when they debate?

  • The evidence is there? I hope he means the logical fallacy of inducing god whereever there's a gap is there for anyone to take. Religion is being struck by a serious case of stupidity.

  • A man so hell-bent on denying accountability to His creator is analogous to the five-year old kid in Wal-Mart, whose mother gets a huge round of applause after she finally pops his little rebellious, arrogant butt when she finally gets enough, as everyone else has had enough. I've never seen a more frustrated, cynical, miserable existence of enslavement to self-sown sorrow and burden, short of meth addiction.

  • @chriswooten7 On the contrary, it was actually Hitchens' DISTASTE for enslavement that fueled his arguments, reason and logic. In your first sentence alone you assert an unprovable position in saying that he's "denying accountability to his creator". What is your authority for assuming that he's accountable? Or that there's a creator? Even if there is a creator, why do you believe he cares about humans (Deism vs. Theism), etc. Food for thought.....

  • @TonyRush The fact there's a creator is a position I hold firmly to because I've experienced His person as you've experienced gravity, do you believe it exists? While Christianity may look like enslavement, to the lost, it's actually freedom to enslavement to one's own self-defeating and self-serving nature. Your food holds no substance, as I know my creator. And absolute truth indwelling may frustrate some who refute all they can't eat, drink, touch, or molest, but is obtainable and tangible.

  • @chriswooten7 Chris, with respect, I don't have a "belief" in gravity. Gravity is proven to exist by objective means whether I believe in it or not. Simply put, the greatest religious minds of all time have not been able to "prove" God exists. Why? Because it's a matter of FAITH. So, it's important to keep the two separate. "Faith is the substance of things HOPED for..." It's not something that you can argue an evidence for.

  • @TonyRush Personal experience is a powerful thing, as I think no one can deny. It's just that, when it's all said and done, it's like having an inexhaustible supply of trillion dollar checks to give out, and simply want folks to take them to the bank of the One incapable of lying. You're correct about faith, though. I have noticed though, in Biblical times, the word hope didn't carry the essence of unsurety that it does today. It's simply something you're looking forward to.

  • @TonyRush In the Word, as far as God is concerned, man's denial of His existence is as futile, and it's proven like anything else. Romans 1;20..."r since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

  • @chriswooten7 Chris, I do understand your point. I do. And it's not my place to invalidate your view. But, surely you see the irony of arguing for the existence of God by starting a post, "In the Word, as far as God is concerned...." You're actually asserting as fact the very thing that you're being asked to prove. :)

  • @TonyRush im going to use this point to shut up a few idiots! glad to see some one with a brain

  • natural selection will weed out these moronic ideas in time, gods have come and gone... people cant cope with the idea that death is final, enter the fairytale story = it makes you sleep better at night

  • The last words were "god gives you what you desire" THERE IS NO GOD!!!

  • Believers your time is running out

  • he is lookin down on us now, lol

  • well you little piece of ignorant shit ...why don't you go back and listen to what your RACIST lord god hitchens said about people who died ...what's good for the goose is good for the gander... save me your self righteous BS

  • @914light Why is it wrong to follow the ideas of a man who we think stood up for real morality? And even if we worshiped him, does that mean worshiping people we think is the lord is wrong? You follow a man named Jesus. Look at you hypocrite. You follow everything that your pastor says or your youth leader and religious friends who all interpret the Bible for you. I was religious once, I've read the entire Bible and I know what goes on in church. We don't worship anyone, not even hitch

  • @blobvision ..well at the risk of responding to an id "blobvision" ...why do you hitchens fans always conclude ..I care what you worship ?

  • Comment removed

  • Furthermore, it acts as a deterrent for proactive behavior, since God will give you happiness regardless, so long as you believe. This paradox that religious "optimism" slows human progress is one that should be made more popular

  • The last comment that man makes is essentially the mantra of Christian Convenient-ists : "God gives you what you desire". It is the idea that anything you choose to believe is true since you feel that it is. It is the idea that censors the horrors written in the Holy Books, picking only the warm and fuzzy parts.

  • Christopher Hitchens, own his fucking ass, and keep owning them, Down with theists!!!

  • LOL. Hitch is clearly wasted beyond all reckoning, and still dominates. Rest in peace, you magnificent bastard.
