  • A tip when drawing birds: Their legs bend the other way. ;) But I digress. Great arrangement! I love seeing music remixed in the 8-bit style. It really makes the melody stand out.

  • EPIC

  • If you do thanks a million if you don't like my request for any reason then please state Y instead of hiding from me like a lot of people do. Thanks. :)

  • Request pleasy please? Will you do the ships quarters? It has such a happy innocent theme when you enter the pipes into the rooms below.

  • this is like knuckles socks. 8 bit, and problematic.

  • He uses FamiTracker >:3

  • never has their been a level where i absolutely HATE playing the level (because its so damn hard) and absolutely LOVE hearing the music......until this game came out

  • I've been listening to remixes of this same song for about ten minutes now and I think this is my least favorite... Rare's amazing music team would have made way more use of white noise in percussion for a song like this.

  • Oh my God! This is VERY beautiful and I am not trying to sound cool either! I mean it.

Will you please PLEASE do the engine room theme to go with this one as an auto play?

  • awesome

  • If you have Realtek HD Audio Manager, set the Environment to Generic for serious 8bit epicness.

  • epic sweep...

  • Remember kids, always do the engine room first. Otherwise you'll end up dying with 97 notes or so.

  • @Hesusio Actually, I went into the engine room with my 96 notes and survived :D. Accomplishment.

  • @Hesusio Got lucky enough to do that level without dying, had great times in each world. Then in CCW I ran out of gold feathers while getting the last three notes out of one of those snapping plants, got two of three of them, the died with 99 notes and 9 jiggies in that level. I was PISSED! lol

  • @rootbeer543 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

  • ouch... :(

  • @Hesusio And to hit the switch!

  • well if u play it on the xbox then u respawn with all ur notes anyway... but good point. :)

  • @Hesusio

or alternatively, you could NOT REALIZE THAT THOSE STUPID WINDOWS THAT LOOK EXACTLY LIKE DECORATIONS ARE BREAKABLE AND SPEND FUCKING HOURS LOOKING FOR THOSE LAST FEW NOTES AND THAT LAST JIGGY AND NEVER FUCKING FIND IT FUCK FUCK FUCK!

  • @Viddaric Actually they're not exactly the same. The breakable windows have 3 little shiny spots whereas the purely cosmetic ones only have one.

  • @Hesusio

yes, well, I know that NOW, but I didn't know that when I was 13 and desperately trying to find those last few notes before my health finally gave out.

  • Thumbs up if banjo Kazooie needs thier own Level Editor Program.

  • THE ENGINE ROOM.

  • EARGASM!!!

  • This is better than your Treasure Trove Cove 8-bit theme. Here, you limit the theme to just one loop as opposed to letting it loop several times, as you did in your version of TTC. Even the best 8-bit themes get hard on the ears with repetition. Plus, Rusty Bucket Bay's music is better anyway, so that adds to the experience even more.

  • There's no arguing that this is the hardest level in Banjo-Kazooie.

  • @mrsnipe597 I don't know.. getting the notes in Click Clock was harder in my opinion. The main difficulty with Rusty Bucket was that you had to jump past the fans, and the propeller Jiggy.. Everything else was pretty straight forward.

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Did you make that sprite of Banjo riding Kazooie?

  • sooo catchy... :)

  • what software do you use for making 8-bit music?

  • @krismagician I've sent you a message.

  • @JDTomajko Can you send me the software aswell?

  • @JDTomajko Can you send me a message telling me what you used to make this 8bit? :o

  • @JDTomajko really, what software? i'd love to know

  • @BasementBox9 (copy-pasted from what I said on another video)

You can use any program like FL Studio or Acoustica Mixcraft. And I use the following plugins - tweakbench (dot) com/triforce - and - ymck (dot) net/magical8bitplug/index (dot) html

Although, there's a program called FamiTracker which I wish I knew about when I made these videos. It might be best to use that.

  • i kinda like these 8-bit B&K themes it makes them look like they were made befor n-64! but like for the first gameboy!

  • This is so fucking awesome and dark.

  • Grimlet gave me nightmares -.-

  • @Toudou1620 I hate that enemy too. >:(

  • I love it when after 7 levels of 100 notes and 10 jiggy's on one life, you come to this nightmare.

Still the music is arguably thee best in the game.

  • @Xajora love the music too, but i'd say that mad monster mansion beats it:)

  • *Has nightmares of trying to get 100% in this level*

  • This makes me want to go back to making my B&K little big planet level

  • Imagine getting eaten by an 8-bit evil cowl vent. Creepy.

  • lol sounds like some old Sonic the Hedgehog Music XD in a special Way :D

  • I am attempting to make this game

using Game Maker Pro 8 as a side scroller.

It isn`t hard exept finding sprites and suchs. Ah well.

  • It looks pretty good on 8-Bit, but I think BK need aleast 16-Bit .. Mayby .. x)

  • Why does this give me insperation to make an 8-bit banjo-kazooie game?(i actually can but it wont be side scrolling it will be top down)

  • Better than the original AND more mysterious than the oringinal.

  • anyone thinks that the sound at 0:20 sounds like someone going like, "WHOOP!"?

  • Can You Do Click Clock Wood?

  • Banjo: Great remix to the hardest level in the game!

Kazooie: Its only the hardest level if your playing the N64 version though, since the xbox version automaticly saves your collected notes.

  • banjo kazooie for xbox? o rly? messed up textures i guess like nuts and bolts...

  • @lucariokiddo Banjo: Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie are on the Xbox Live Arcade. For 1200 Microsoft points, I think.

  • OMG I always hated that stage!! It was sooo hard, but I worked hard and got every single note and jiggy :]]

    Awesome job!

  • me too

  • this song reminds me of pokemon on the gameboy advance

  • this is not 8 bit

gxscc, put a midi in it and convert it to something that doesnt sound 8 bit.

famitracker is for real 8 bits.

and i can do better than this.

  • i love it!!! :D

  • this song (the real version) gave me nightmares!!

  • Epic

  • All this needs is an 8-bit engine room and 8-bit timed propeller jiggy to complete the nightmare!

  • I still don't understand why people thought this level was so hard. I know the propeller jiggy was hard, but for me it took 2 or 3 tries.

  • It's not so much the Jiggy's. (Though granted, that propeller one was a bitch to get.)

I mainly had trouble getting the notes. What was annoying was if you got killed, you had to collect every single note all over again.

  • That was/is annoying to get!!!

  • @pikminpicker

Because of the entire interior of the ship, having one of the gears push you off into the abyss below and losing all of your hard-earned notes. The notes are all over the place too.

  • even to this day i wonder how i ever got the jiggy behind the propellors!

wasnt very hard from what i remember

  • timing thing in the ship

  • @KorlaWolf

    no i mean like in:

how the fuck did i even managed to obtain it?!seeing many people found it to be very hard

  • I want to hear click clock wood or maybe freezezzy peak

  • Perhaps we're just used to Shooting things, as L.O.G. says.

Besides, my excuse for being bad in that level is because I panick easily.

Expecally when it comes to swimming.

Add loosing air ABOVE water, And I'm dead.

Who else is bad at the level but doesn't suck at the game?

  • I am not that great at this level I need to get two more frinken jiggys! The jinjo and timed one

  • I am good at the game but this level is harder than you think because of oil water. It is also hard to get all jiggys too.

  • People who say IWBTG is hard just have awful platforming skills. Anyone who can't beat BlackCastle on Insanity just doesn't know how to play games. Can't beat Bonetail Castle? What a baby. Hey I can't beat Super Mario Tabarnak! Get over it.

  • I mean got dang, who the shizzle cares. So you were able to beat a dumb level on an easy game. Compared to me or vgboy, or minmay, or LT, I can bet your platformer skills suck.

  • contiuning on with my list of people, I put up that tijjitdamijjit, that awesome japanese gamer, chuchino, and anyone who can speed run a game. That's right, you're worse than a filthy speed-runner.

  • Play the original version, Pirated Comedy. Rareware made the Xbox Live Arcade port a lot easier by letting you keep all your notes and shortening certain dangerous jumps.

  • I beat it, back in the day. Still have the cart layin around, it's seen better days, though. RBB wasn't that hard then, either. :)

  • (to Ammit5) hmm? which jumps did they shorten? I played the original one and just recently got the arcade one but I didn't notice much difference?

  • keep all your notes? WTF that just makes it too easy! I have fond memories of collecting 99 notes then dying. Sure, it was stressful at the time but that was part of the challenge!

  • @PiratedComedy so your saying that almost everyone in the world (who lives in america, japan, and europe) suck at this game?

  • @PiratedComedy

Unlike the 360 version where you keep all Jinjos and Notes collected after you die you don't in the N64 one, all of them have to be collected again.

So most people are reffereing to the N64 version and not the 360 one.

  • I like the music and I am ok with the level so I part agree with you

  • @wooperboy60 yep totally argee with you

  • @wooperboy60 same but the hate is half

  • @wooperboy60

I love the level too, lol. I love everything about Banjo-Kazooie.

  • @LostBrawl I made that comment 8 months ago, and during that time, this level has really grown on me. Right now it's probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite level. (1st being click-clock wood)

  • @wooperboy60

Gooooooood boy. By the way, my favourite level of the entire saga is Hailfire Peaks. Amazing.

  • @LostBrawl I really love that level, but just a few parts of it seem a little incomplete. Several jiggies in that level are just Behind walls that you just get from doing stuff in other levels entirly, but it just still counts for hailfire peaks. (Once, they reversed that with the grunty industries in HFP). If the level just seemed more complete, I would have liked it a lot more.

  • @wooperboy60

Well, that's true. I was talking only about the simple beauty of the level. Though, there was the same boss twice, you're right. I think that the power of the Nintendo 64 really limitated the game.

(sorry for the bad english, I'm Italian)

  • @LostBrawl I think that rare should make a new b-k for the xbox that ISN'T about driving cars around. It should be a remake of Banjo Tooie, or better yet, Banjo-Threeie!

  • @wooperboy60

Absolutely. I liked Nuts & Bolts however, but yes, a platform would be better.

  • @LostBrawl Actually, Right now I am Thinking up Ideas for a Banjo-Threeie. 9 new Levels, 20 New moves for both, 5 new moves for Kazooie, 5 new for Banjo, ALL Old moves (Excluding Grunty's Revenge), Plus 10 Jiggies From Spiral Mountian (1 Boss to help remember your old moves, And 9 jiggies using the moves You Learned from each level). If you would like on that Idea, we could send PMs to each other talking about it.

  • @wooperboy60 Nuts and Bolts WAS Banjo-Threeie. That was the original title of the game, and that's where it falls into the big story. The next game will be "Banjo-Fourie" (or whatever they decide to call it).

  • 0:20. Hehehe.

  • this song is epic, both in original form and 8-bit!

  • I'm making lyrics for the original song. ;D

  • I admit it.

I cheated with unlimited air on this level.

    It still killed me.

  • pwned!

  • I used cheatgivethebearlotsofair on this stage to

  • LOVE and HATE this level

  • LOVE to HATE this level

  • LOVE this level.

  • @smitty01209 so do I!

  • HATE this level

  • lol @ kazooie's legs

  • have you done the themes from Witchyworld, Grunty Industries, or Click Clock Wood (not just Spring...) I would love to hear these in 8-bit!

  • Sounds cool! Did you use fruity loops?

  • Mecha version I like! =D

  • 1:15 Best Part

  • You're so right...

  • OMG THIS IS SO NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5+fav

  • First 8 seconds remind me SO MUCH of Sonic 3's Ice Cap Zone XD

  • Very nice. One of my favorite musics in BK. Despite the level being a pain in the ass (/shake fist at engine room) it is one of the most fun levels.

  • Holy shit! This is fucking pwnage!

  • Can you do Gobi's Valley please? This music = WIN! <3 :D =]

  • Oh no..the hardest level..takes me back, To all that yelling from my brother. Banjo and Kazooie are AWESOME!! END OF STORY!!

  • HELL YA!!!

  • can you do the main theme. That would be awesome, for either game it doesnt matter.

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome!

  • please do freezeezy peak

  • Comment removed

  • i love it <3

  • how do you make this?

  • hahaha i just love the horns from the ship itself xD so cheesy, but sooo awesome to hear xD

  • May I recommend you do Gobi's Valley and Bubblegloop Swamp.

  • Yes Gobi's Valley Please XD

  • The beginning sounds like "Harry Potter II" on GameBoy colour ... :o *cough*

    HATED THAT GAME XD

  • Harry Potter 2 on GameBoy Color?

    God, that game was horrible.

I don't think AVGN would be willing to do that game.

  • Because Harry Potter 2 on the GameBoy Colour sucking fucks! :D

  • :) Awesome. I'd love to see Mad Monster Mansion done in this style.

  • wouldn't we all...XD

  • Please, do freezeey peak plz.

  • can you do Mumbo's Mountain in 8-bit please

  • yes plz mumbo's mountain in 8 bit plz

  • Very very catchy and accurate very great job I give it 5 stars thanks for the upload

  • 1:16 and past is the best part of the song.

  • God yes. You know that tingly feeling you get when you listen to a song you like and it starts to head into your favourite part (some people call it "Eargasm")? 'Nuff said.

  • So that's the word I've been looking for!

  • @HHog That last part has scarred me....I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW!

  • @HHog Best Comment ever

  • apperently the rusty bucket will be making some sort of appearance in nuts and bolts

  • yeah the boat is in Banjoland, and a part of the rusty bucket bay music is in the Banjoland theme.

  • That's perfect...

  • this level was hard. the best level by far was treasure trove cove, then click clock woods.

    awesome game by the way

  • Awesome. Rusty Bucket Bay was my favorite level, despite it's hardness, although it might tie with Mad Monster Mansion or Mumbo's Mountain or Bubblegloop Swamp or Treasure Trove Cove or Gobi's Valley or Click Clcok Woods or Freezeezy Peak or Clanker's Cavern or Furnace Fun or Mayahem temple or Glittergulch Mine or Witchyworld or Jolly Roger's Lagoon, or Terrydactyland or Grunty Industries or Hailfire Peaks or Cloud Cuckoo Land or Cauldron Keep or Spiral Mountain or Isle o' Hags or Grunty's lair

  • One of the best 8 bit remix I've heard, but I think it would be better if you changed the main instrument

  • This world was hell

  • lol you mean the propellers & what not? i agree

  • Indeed

  • still fucking love of my life, best level ever

  • Great work once again! BTW, I'd LOOOOVE to hear an 8-bit version of Grunty Industries!

  • Rusty Bucket Bay was a hard and annoying stage but with great musics. There is a part of this music you also hear in the gruntilda boss battle.

  • just like on the gameboy :D:D:D

    its perfekt :D

  • This one may be my favorite!

  • aww man that is pure awesomeness!! i would get happy if you made gobi's valley

  • hey can you do witchyworld too??

  • this sounds better then the original! good job! 5 stars!

  • this is even good in 8-bit! :)

  • This is my favorite song in the whole game!

  • Me too! =D

  • Great song, I have a vid of me doing it with vocals; you guys should check out. Enough of the advertising, that was amazing your rendition of RBB was one of the bests. 5/5!

  • Thanks, I like yours as well.
