  • I LOVE THIS! Saw them move from the beginnings in Hilo to Waikiki to Hollywood!

Each individal created the magic touch! UUMMMMM!

He's here to stay. Open up your heart...He loves you!

  • Simply one of the best jazz vocal tracks of all time.................the memories flood back.

  • bravissimi .. musica e voce eseguiti in modo sublime ...

  • I used to hear them in L.A. when they first got here. They used to play at The Baked Potato.

  • Does anyone knows the name of the song that had these lyrics by seawind.

Don't keep hiding your feelings... Don't you know I see through all your schemes, admiration and dreams... So why try to hide them... There's no need to fight what you think you feel inside you're in love and you love me only."

  • This was a staple song in the 70"s on WJZZ when I was a young buck. I remember cruising in Detroit many nights listening to this tune. Ah, yes!!!

  • nice to reminisce songs of old times....very relaxing...

  • Oh, I remember this one!! Can someone tell me if Seawind played a song called "music sweet music" or "music is on my mind" or something to that effect from the mid 70's?!! I only heard it twice within the last 30 something years and I would love to hear it again. Please help me!!

  • @HobbsBhipp I THINK YOU WANT THE "BLACKBYRDS"

  • So why wasn't Seawind popular here in the United States?

  • OMG!!!!! This is the shit!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • On a boat drinkin' mint julips, this is just a wonderful track.I miss those days.

  • One of my favorite flugelhorn solos

  • Uber funkeeee..tanx....

  • i love their music.

  • Why is this not on itunes? Fabulous...

  • MY DAD DAN GONZALES PLAYED BASS FOR PAULINE WILSON. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF SPEAKING TO HER ON THE PHONE Y ABOUT A DECADE AGO. I GREW UP LISTENING TO SEAWIND'S ALBUMS. TRULY AWESOME.

  • love it!

  • wtf!?

  • Fantastic voice!I'm a huge fun of Pauline.

  • all you kanaka's living on the mainland, remember, shore bird where they started as OX, ai yah you old buggas ja like me

  • First heard this band in Oahu,Hawaii, just passing by at a record store in 76...man, then heard this beautiful voice coming from the hallway...then decided to get the album. Wonderful and great memories...of nicer times in life. Thank you for the person for this...great video!!!

  • huge fan of this group! awesome voice!

  • the whole song , even the instrumental part is a NOTION in itself. The message is simple, the way it was delivered and sung, having rhythmic back up lyrics sung in a "mantra" meter (OPEN UP YOUR HEART, HEAR WHAT HE'S GOT TO SAY, YOU CAN HAVE HIS LOVE, EACH AND EVERYDAY...HE will always love you!) - not withstanding the cool effectiveness of Jerry Hey's solo. It is all there. All you have to do is FEEL what needs to be FELT!

  • Seawind's a big hit here in Manila back in the late 70's and 80's, just like Kalapana which also is from Hawaii. I didn't realize this song "He loves you" is a christian song, til I checked out the lyrics. Thanks for sharing.

  • @etopa Sorry to jump you bra, but the 1st few lyrics tell the story, that's all !!!

  • somewhere in my vinyl closet is everything Seawind ever did....time to go hunting.

    This band had EVERYTHING....wonderful

  • Awesome stuff... reminds me of Gloria Estefan & the Miami Sound Machine

    very smooth...

  • Chorus line is gold. When the background singers kick in and the end with "open up your heart..." woooo! Takes it to a whole new level!

  • Pauline, mahal kita!

  • Love this brilliant band

  • que super tema , esta composicion la traigo en mi cabeza desde hace 30 años. es preciosa, simplemente de lo mejor que he escuchado en mi vida

  • After all these years...Jerry's solo stands the test of time. Just brilliant. I wore out a tape listening to this song..and replaying this solo, so I could play it. Never got it..lol...Loved that era..especially, when I went to Hawaii. Seemed to feel their presence there, since I was a trumpet player...during that time.

  • Fantastic trumpet solo.!!!!

  • Flugelhorn. Jerry Hey

  • gr8 classic

  • i used to have this Blue LP Seawind and tis is the first track on the record. Love it.

  • That is a perfect flugelhorn solo by Jerry Hey. He is an absolutely ridiculous player

  • This is one of my all time favorites. Seawind was like no other group. They still stand out in my eyes.

  • Had this lp at one time along with about 2500 others. Also had a "friend" who would come over and afyter we all had smoked a few bowls, would leave abruptly. The next few days would always reveal a few empty jackets. This was one I really hated loosing. Great to hear it again. Now bring in Blue Rondo A LA Turk from Two Generations of Brubeck.

  • kinda depresses me now.

  • One night I was out in Wash DC looking for something to do with a date. We stumbled across a club called Blues Alley. I'd heard of it, but never been there, [1973 or so] so we decided to enter. To make a long story short, I saw Seawind at Blues Alley in DC. 1974-ish. I have no proof, and I'm ok with that. Ass-kickin' band though. Still love their first LP, bought it on vinyl as soon as I could find it. It's not for sale, btw. -m

  • I actually have this album! Still sounds fantasic. Produced by Harvey Mason!!

  • i have been looking for this song a long time..can i transfer this to my mp3?

  • If you were a teen or young adult of the late 70's early 80's and were part of the jesus movement of the time, and didn't want to listen to the type of music playing in the church..Seawind was the way to go! They gave a more relevant feel about having faith and belief in God. Love them much..thanks for this LamontCJ.

  • that is Jerry hay on trumpet/flugle horn he later arranged and played all Michael jackson horns. the bass player ken wild was John Patitucci's favorite bass player/john is now the best jazz bass player in the world. the singer pauline wilson left her husband the song writer and drummer of the band for Jimmy Massina. the first christian band with horns, there was also another christian band at that time with a horn section (rushing wind) scott brooklyn ruvolo was lead vocal and song writer

  • do you have this song's mp3 ?

I just can't find it to download

  • Great group from Hrizon Label in Hawaii!!

  • This was the cut! Tony Brown used to rock this on "Brown Nights with Tony" on WDAS in Philly. It was always the bomb on warm summer nights!!!

  • es una de las mejores exporesiones de jazz de fusion que he escuchado en mi vida, gracias y mi afecto a quien compartio esta grata experiencia musical en esta frecuencia musical,

  • Thanks for posting. Do you by any chance have the Devil Is A Liar by Seawind

  • Thx for posting this! I love this song! Seawind was one of the most talented bands of their time. I caught them at Pasquale's nightclub on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu - just the nicest, most beautiful people you'd ever want to meet. Because I play trumpet, Jerry was and remains one of my all-time heroes - the guy never shanks a single note! Loved his brass arrangements on others' albums, and heard Paulina a few years ago with a different back-up band. Sure do miss the band!

  • I saw these guys live 3 times in Orange County in the late 70s. They are one of the tightest bands of all times. They were not just as good as the records, they were better! I was in love with Pauline. Sorry Bob. That is the drummer and husband. She was so small, but what a voice and she is so beautiful; voice and everything else.

  • I bought this great album about ten years ago. It contained several Seawind classics, and some never before released material. I'm said that they broke up, but I bought Pauline Wilson's solo album (INTUITION) which contained a remake of "Follow Your Road".

  • Great music. Nice to have the change to hear it again!

  • For obvious reasons Seawind was very popular here in Hawaii.

  • And rightfully so. Seawind was a very good group and should have had more press.

  • I listened to this group at small clubs in LA in the 70's I thought I remember someone was from Hawaii. We all loved their music. At the time they had at least one album out.

  • i first heard of them from my drum tutor who played with a scottish band called R.A.F. who were in the same studios as seawind, signed to the A&M label, great band love it!

  • Just BEAUTIFUL !

  • Glad you enjoy!

  • Thanks... thats rare!!

Pls Pls Upload the track, The Devil is a Liar.

    One of Seawinds finest offerings

  • OMG!!! Jerry Hey and them Seawind horns played on everything Quincy Jones produced including Michael's Thriller. Jerry Hey and his group has played some of the most famous horn arrangements ever put to vinyl. Sounds like the album George Duke produced.

  • I have one of their albums...Nice sound...

  • Yeah, they had their moment.

  • OMG, I haven't heard this song for ages - thanks for sharing this with us. Im a big fan of Pauline of Seawind, I miss you a lot - more power to you.

  • That question, Can Anyone FREE! LOL I think they meant play the song FREE.

I used to play this song with my first band fresh out of high school in 1980.

My older drummer brother hipped me to Seawind back in 1979, great band. Wish there was video of them. Thanks for posting.

  • I too would like to see them. I know their horn section featuring Jerry hey still gets some props but the rest of them , who knows>

  • Can anyone "Free" ?

  • What do you mean?

  • Great song, thanks! Can anyone post the Seawind sond, "Everyone Needs Love"?

  • Thanks 4 responding, I like this cut in addition to "Two OF Us". A real under rated group that deserved more promotion.

  • nice song from seawind paula wilson on vocals, thanks for posting

  • I'm not that familiar with Seawind except for a few noted songs but I remember their horn section being very hot for studio work with other artists.

  • thanks if you happen to have their album with a seagull flying on the album cover, pls upload the track PRA VOSE?thanks a lot.
