Didn't help me. I've found that the metal cup has a crack so I don't know how to fix this. I think about using a soldering iron but I'm afraid to make things worse =(
Hey, I don't know if anyone checks these comments anymore, but need to ask if it's possible to replace the new rock reactor heel (metal steel bit at heel) without taking it to a shoe repair store? The steel heel bit snapped during last winter because of the cold I reckon.
@OurSurveySays Yes they can be replaced easily, I was waiting for mine to break again, so I could make the video. The metal heel (and also the front metal peice) are held on with rivets. the best bet is to clamp the metal peice with some plyers and pull, shifting it left to right as you pull. (new metal parts can be bought from the new official new rocks website) OR if you have purchased them from a shop, you can TRY contact the shop for free replacements.
@01136428 Thanks, but do I not need a rivet gun to get the new metal heel part onto the boot? I've purchased the spare part from New Rock's website and awaiting delivery.
i'm pretty new to newrocks, just got my pear three mouths ago, and i'd like to know if you can replace the backing silver part, because mine broke and now i've got half silver part backings on both boots...
well it sort of helped - but the damn thing pops out almost every time I wear them! Just the left boot too.. which is strange. Is it worth using any glue - or epoxy resin or anything to keep 'em in? Or maybe the end caps are needing reshaping/ replacing to make tighter?
i would firstly try some glue (maybe adhesive glue wouldnt reccomend superglue..). but would have to be careful that the glue doesn't eat into the rubber too much. if it keeps comming out it means that the cap isnt on tight enough. let me know the outcome =]
its wierd i had mien for over a year and my small heel stuff are still really hard stuck into the sole exepct i lost all back and front plates the front plates seem to easier break then the backplate
iven tho the back plate esaly gets a litle crack and then the whole plate will soon break

@OurSurveySays yes, you`ll need a rivet gun, if you search ebay for "rivet gun" they are about £5 + Free P&P!

yes, you can, very easily!, unfortunatly i havent had time recently to make the videos (due to university)
best way is brute force to remove the rivets.
you can order the parts from the new rock website, or maybe the local shop you bought them from.
