  • i think ...he wanted her more than giving her to thing.

  • In the tudors king Henry is much younger and better looking than he actually was, in reallity he was aprox 34 years older than poor Kathrine and by that time getting morbidly obeese. Also some historians think she might have been as young as 15.

  • I always wondered why the show never bothered to replace a character as important as Norfolk after season 1...

  • This annoys me that it is suffolk and the seymour pushing katherine forward towards Henry VIII

Katherine Howard was pushed forward by the "conservative" party at court who were let by the Duke of Norlfolk and Bishop Gardiner

Seymour especially was a prominant reformer at court.

I Love the tudors as a drama, but as far as historical accuracy goes there has been better dramas and references

  • @polleh1 that's true but I think the writer wanted to take a different approach cuz surely the Duke of Norfolk was not the only one who wanted Cromwell out of the way. At any rate, once Cromwell was gone. The nobles were back to their usual business of fighting against each other.

  • While I think that Tamzin plays her role very well, so far I still prefer Lynne Frederick's portrayal of Katherine Howard. Tamzin seems talented, but I just feel like Lynne's was a more accurate portrayal of her personality. Moreover, Lynne actually resembled Katherine a great deal. KH was a brunette with dark eyes, like her cousin Anne Boleyn.

  • @gapeachjessica, I have to agree with you. Lynne's portrayal was more accurate, not to mention the fact that Lynne was very pretty too.

  • wow she is sooo gorgeous...

  • No one can top Anne Bolyne.

  • I have a lot of sympathy for Kathrine Howard as i do of all his wives but more so because Kathrine was little more than a child herself.

  • By their standards, she was pretty. Fair complexion, blonde hair and high forehead. Personally, I don't think she's bad-looking. Just not... hot, I guess.

  • are you saying big foreheads are bad or good ? cause mines is huge :L

  • How interesting. Henry had himself three Katherines and two Anne's, but never another Jane. At what point did that man go "another Katherine...another Anne." Personally I think the reason he hated Anne of Cleves so much, is that he was still sore from Anne Boleyn. Either women were all named the same, or Henry kept looking to re-invent his wives. Either way, after 3 wives..he should have thought "is it me??" LOL

  • @PhillAlexandros, HAH, thats soo true, have you ever read 'the boleyn inheritance'? it sortof protrays the same idea

  • wow she is sooo not Henry's "rose without a thorn"

  • tamzin is so beautiful

  • I used to go to school with tamzin merchant, she is a great actress but completely wrong for the tudors. i mean Katherine Howard is meant to be brunette.

  • I am certain they could have colored her hair a flattering shade. This show isn't much for accuracy.

  • i agree, but then again, henry was supposed to be ginger :L hes not ! and hes supposed to get quite fat, dont think that will happen either :D

  • apparently marriage vows don't mean anything to you then either

  • This actress portrays her all wrong. She wouldn't be an obvious harlot. She might have had a sparkle in her eyes, but she was still classy about it. This actress isn't naturally poised or classy enough to play her. Emily Blunt was much better at the role.

  • @MsMissrachel I LOVED Tamzin Merchant as Katherine Howard. Best actress by far to play her! Not too old, not too young. She was PERFECT for this role as Katherine Howard!

  • she should have been smart enough not to mess around while married to the king she was stupid on her part

  • she fell in love with another man, i'd mess around with someone if my husband was old enough to be my grandfather

  • What an ugly butter face

  • "Tell us about yourself" while we look you up and down like a sale priced cut of sirloin. Women were nothing but the political pawns of their families in that century: still commodities today.

  • Katherine Howard was brunette!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Historians now are estimating that Katherine may have been as young as 14 or 15 when she met Henry. She was an abused child, not a temptress. Also, she may have been fooling around" on the king because of a superstition that young virile men begat sons and Henry was too old. She knew she need to make a baby boy.

  • katherine was rlly too young to be queen i mean she died at a young age if she didnt marry da king she culd have had a good life with other men

  • @foxxykim92 Of course she wanted to marry the king! This of the life of luxury she had! The King showered her with all kinds of gifts! She got pushed into yet, and maybe she really didn't have that much of a choice but she kinda wanted to anyway.
