You know, dubstep started out as just chill beats that would be played in a room with a few dudes. Then Rusko and Excision got into dubstep, making it all "filthy" and whatnot. That was still dubstep though, just taking the dubstep to a different level.

@DoctorOblivionLP How can a few popular artists kill dubstep? There are still artists who produce more underground sounds, you just don't have to listen to the mainstream stuff. I'm not sure what you like, but whatever it is, you can find it somewhere. If not, make some yourself or something. Dubstep is evolving, not dieing.

Also, use punctuation, it's hard reading a whole paragraph without any periods in it.

I don't think every aspiring artist will be like that though. Take me for example. I want to make dubstep and the sort, but not that crazy wobble stuff, there's more than enough of that. I want to make chill music. And I still think Skrillex makes dubstep. Electrostep might be a subgenre, but it's still in the genre of dubstep.
