I am just so sad over the loss of this extraordinary musician and wonderful human being.

Only on Sunday night we spoke about him with visiting UK friends and I said that I would definitely contact him when visiting next time - there will now be no next time - unless I too hand my bow over at paradise' gate!

Mike, RIP - you are very, very much missed by many of us and I thank the best cello teacher one could ask for - you had such patience, a lovely smile, a great way of explaining! Love forever

I heard the tragic news this morning of Mike's passing. I thought of your wonderful interview from 2009, so I thought I'd say hello, and pay my respects. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to enjoy Mike's music, and his words here on Youtube,so, again, Thank You for posting what is surely an historical bio of the man. Rest In Peace, Mr. Edwards. You will be sorely missed.
