  • No, that's the confederate states airline from Georgia USA. (a.k.a. Rebel Air...lol)

  • Southern airs always had contracts with specials.

  • @SquattingZebra thanx, i did read that in a book written by an ORD ATC...

  • The CIA company you are thinking of was called, "Southern Air TRANSPORT" not "Southern Air."

  • that is correct, thank you for that verification...

  • I was a teenager working in Miami when S.A.T. got 'outed'

  • @FelchBelcher thanx...you are correct...

  • what does a c.i.a plane look-like?

  • i was told they look all white and are non-descriptive...i think...but then again, i was also told by a high level FAA worker that this plane is used by secret levels of the gov.

  • Author is confusing this company with a similar company (Southern Air Transport) that went bankrupt in the late 90's after it was released that they flew their L-100-30s for the CIA in Central America.

This company took over the assets of Southern Air Transport, changed the name and logo and operates wet lease and international cargo 747s.

  • thank you for the info....

  • OK, after clear verification...this is not a C.I.A plane...sorry for the confusion...

  • cia????? how did you get that

  • its Southern Air, operated for Korean Air Cargo. I work with this plane every monday and it sucks... But defenitly not a CIA plane... BTW it is going to the South Cargo ramp at O'Hare airport...

  • how is tht a cia plane it clearly says southern air?

  • @surpsippinn CIA and other agencies worldwide operate under the names of various companies.

  • right...thats what i heard...
