I've had my period for almost four years now, and I've NEVER used a tampon. Lol I'm scared because my mom is a nurse and she tells me REPEATEDLY about the operations she has to do on girls who have tampon malfunctions.. But I kinda want to try them. Lol

@MrSmile1087 Honey you won't shove it into your uterus. You have a cervix which serves as the opening to the uterus, and it has a small hole that won't suck the tampon in. Be gentle, relax and follow proper directions of insertion. Most of all, don't leave it in for more than a couple hours. Hope this helps.

definitely wear a pad! i'd actually put two on and position them so that you won't be able to bleed through. the problem with tampons is that you have to change them every eight hours or whatever, otherwise you risk getting TSS, and so if your riding with guys in the car, it's gonna seem suspicious for you to need to stop so often. we drove down there from michigan and i only had to stop a few times.

Tampons can only hurt you if you're an idiot and use the wrong absorbency and leave it in for too long. It's called TSS and what it is is toxic bacteria inside the vagina that builds up and becomes fatal if you don't change your tampon every 4 or so hours depending on your flow.

definitely wear a pad! i'd actually put two on and position them so that you won't be able to bleed through. the problem with tampons is that you have to change them every eight hours or whatever, otherwise you risk getting TSS, and so if your riding with guys in the car, it's gonna seem suspicious for you to need to stop so often. we drove down there from michigan and i only had to stop a few times.

if you insert a tampon correctly, you shouldn't be able to feel it in there.. it's recommended to change tampons every 8 hours or so to prevent tss (toxic shock syndrome).
