I think u meant Completely Retarded, leg raises is the best way to harden ur abs. You'll get more contractions on your lower abs which is important to balance out ur upper/obliques abs. If you do them right you'll feel ur abs contracting every time, dont stop until u cant go on anymore its gonna hurt but with heart and dedication you'll be grateful. Rememeber kids inhale and exhale on every rep! Relax and only focus on ur abs with a controlled motion carefully breathing at ease the whole time.
If you engage your abdominals and raise your legs off the floor by doing so, it is an abdominal exercise. However if you simply raise your legs up and down you are using your quads and hip flexors. All in the approach
you keep saying this, im sorry leg raises do work your abs. Knee raises are a baby step to doing hanging leg raises which are major a part of my ab workout.

if you read my reply's to people i tell them cardio. Cardio is great at lowering the bmi so the abs are visible the ab workout i demonstrate here is great for the actual abdominal muscle. thanks blake

They are called leg raises because you have to raise your legs up to work the abs. It does'nt mean that you are working your legs.
