  • what kind of kitchen is that??

  • a little unfair, i had a 205 gti, but the new one has moved on in terms of comfort and safety if you crash, its looks are totally stunning and rather unique..i think its fantastic, Vicky will have driven Porsches and Ferraris this month, so overall its a beautiful fast fun car xx

  • May be so the 205 1.9 gti was a feared daddy hatch, sadly most ended up round or up a lamp post, and with the driver Brown Bread. or sitting with the engine on their lap, so good on speed not so good at being safe, And be fair whats the chance of finding a mind car? or what would it cost to restore to former glory..Most are shagged out old has been's. nowadays, Worn engines, worn drivetrain, worn everything shit to drive, Let the past go, why didnt she compare lap times on the track.

  • @STmondeoman220 "Most are shagged out old has been's. nowadays, Worn engines, worn drivetrain, worn everything shit to drive, Let the past go" <<<< I thought you were talking about MK3 Ford Mondeos :-D

  • @toodlepips123 Well mate dont know what you drive, nor do i care, and the fact of the matter remains there old, even older than an 06 plate ST, with 35.000 miles on clock, so yeah my car must really be shagged. more so than a clapped out 80's hot hatch thats had fucknows how many owners and gone to moon and back. Most are knackerd, simple, fact for a simple minded sole like your good self.

  • My father thinks this is his car (205) because it's the exact same and what we could see of the redge was wright

  • 207 = ugly as hell

205 = Best car ever made by Peugeot

  • if you want an amazing hot hatch which is amazing value for money the twingo renaultsport 133 is your answer. It's so fun to drive. It takes over the hot hatch world where peugeot left off

  • GT I didn't think that was funny..

  • its just terrible watching fifth gear because they try to hard to be like top gear and fail at it miserably.

  • Yr ast hyll dan-din.

  • 306 gti6 is just as quick as the 207 gti to 60 and the 306 rallye is quicker....

205 gti, 106 gti and 306 gti6 were the best gti's they have ever made. Everything after was rubbish

  • nice seats

  • 205 may be the best car created by peugeot, but that says more about peugeot then about the car i think. also the 207 is FUGLY

  • the 207 is better not the 205 the 205 is crap and ugly i feel like smashing it up

  • this has 175 hp noobs peugeot 207 is the best

  • why dont the companys like peugot VW mini etc just keep making symple carse like the p 106 250 vw beetle mini.... and yesss i am a ferm belever that "sympler is better" no ECUs no ALBSs just a few spanners and u'r off.

  • I prefer the 106 gti over any pug

  • I loved my 1.9 gti for its "lift off oversteer"....wooohooo!! Best fun possible in a FWD!

  • Is there anybody who knows the song from 1:47 to 1:53?

  • full and ridiculous name? :s

  • what about 206 GTi? i thought the 207 GTi was a follower to 206 GTi . Not to 205 GTi.

  • I love 205 GTI... and vicky is so sexy *.*

  • 2:30 rofl... Nice car tho

  • Can you guys test Peugeot 407 2.0 Sport Petrol?

  • designed by persians/iranians for france...iran./ persia rocks.

  • bmw-peugeot engine ???

  • yup? same engine as in the Mini Cooper S

  • lol....I see some people commenting that vicki can't drive....and top gear ruleezzzz.....dumbasses....even jeremy clarkson said himself he wished his colleagues could drive as well as vicki...

  • well but she still has nothing to do with cars or driving :))

  • Love those fucking seats.

  • I think the 207 gti sits a bit too high. Coilovers would soon cure that. Not many of them about and im begining to become a fan. The reliability could be an issue with my experience with french cars. My 182 clio had its own parking space at renault.lol 205gti looks so dated now.

  • @doesithurt09 trust me mate...get 1...ull never look back. i wasnt in the mood for another french car either after my experience with a clio.....but im absolutely head over heels about my 207

  • @clutchplate Ive got a 207 it isnt the GTI its the 1.4S Petrol engine & i love it use the gear box properly & will go like shit off a shovel

  • @cgd27 presumably you must have walked everywhere prior to getting your pug 207 1.4 ;-)

  • @toodlepips123 actually no to your surprise i had a 2.0 sierra yes the pug was a step down but get used to its idosincarsies (parson the spelling) & its a really good car - some beg to differ but that my opinion im entitled to mine just as your entitled to yours

  • When will the manufactures learn... !!! WE WANT LIGHT AND SIMPLE !!!

  • the 205gti has the best steering feel out of any hot hatch...ever! and one of the most excitin on edge chassis ever produced, mine is a limited edition 1.9gti serronto green wid a factory fitted peugeot bodykit,it has only covered 93k n has a full service history.see, good ones are still out there!

  • a review can't be that bad nt even in purpose. Worst review ever

  • Comment removed

  • ye she cant drive and fifth gear sucks. Top gear rules all.

  • Unfortunately Peugeot buried its GTI story with stopping production of 106 GTI....205 and 106 GTI are really fantastic cars which we are not able to find anymore easly clean and uncrushed ones in second hand market . now good ones are becoming classic. 207 GTI? if you have 10 more grand, go to VW showroom and meet the new Golf GTI...

  • @serkan106 in a straight line, yes the golf is better, but in the corners, think again ;-) i have the 207 and have put it through its paces. neither the golf r, r32 or gti could keep up with me, and was only 5 seconds slower than a nissan GT-r on a 4km mountain road which consisted mainly of twisties

  • I don't know why on earth they've a shift knob in metal. It's the same in the 206 GTI. It's not pleasant to put your hand on it in -20 C!

  • that car is really fun to drive

  • I own a new 207 175thp gti and 15 years ago i owned a 205 1.9gti.. I know for a fact my current car is the better. A day to day car it is perfect from going to the shops to just going out for a drive its awesome.. The 205 is more fun as a track car but lacks all the comforts of a modern car. Air con, Air bags, comfey seats, crash protection, and reliabilty... So VBH your wrong if you need a every day car like most of us do...

  • Couldn't agree more with RydeHammer. I had a 205 GTi which I got rid of nine years ago. It was great in its day, but I'd rather have my 207 any day of the week. VBH is stuck in the '80s!

  • ppl hate her (VBH)..i like her..i wna f*ck her! lol

  • hell yeah

  • doubt it since pug, ford have used as well as others

  • the 206 gti 180 was a huuuuge let down. Peugeot wanted it to have the same handling characteristics of the 205 gti, but failed miserably. The 205 has now made it as a modern classic, the 206 will never reach that status, nor will the 207.

  • offcourse it won't. Those were other days. Nothing got between driver and his car. Not even safety:) And everything was smaller and lighter. But in the other hand 205 gti can never reach 207 RC/GTi in terms of ultimate grip safety cruising and many many other things. In the end 207 is a much more better car than 205 offcourse. That doesn't mean it feels the same. Old cars felt better.. But new cars or so much better

  • i like the vw gti ;P

  • I own that actual 205, and i wouldn't give it up for anything, love it to bits....

Its also signed by Vicki under the bonnet saying "i love this car"... Doubt she does that often?

  • hit a brick wall and you'll know which one u prefer...... my favorite isstill the 205 GTI T16

  • 205GTi wins all day long! 207GTi just doesnt look or drive as good as the 205GTi!

  • the problem now is they make the standard versions look so sporty that the GTI's really dont look any different. But you could tell the difference with a 205 gti and a 205 standard.

  • Both cars are really great!

  • You can just tell how 207 is not as great as the 205 just by the shape of it. She's right safty regulations and stuff just make the car heavier. The mouth is too big for the engine, longer wheelbase, bigger wheels. they are all factors that make the 207 worse. It's not just the peugot, everything else is, New Mini? It's not mini anymore, it's huge! etc

  • I like the 207 GTI and also new 207 le mans

  • @sspope i have the le mans...its absolutely brilliant...wouldnt swap it for any other hatchback

  • 205 GTI,is simply the best car ever made by Peugeot,and that`s a fact. ;-)

  • It is very good yea. But 207 RC is great too. I just think that the result of this review came before the bitch had driven the car adn not after... She didnt like it from the beginning

  • @Ludi205gti no it aint the 207 is better

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDr1lla

No it ain't the 205 GTi is better. :D

  • @TheDr1lla NOT FOR ME.Well because I work in Peugeot I've driven a lot of peugeot's and I own only 205 GTI (from Peugeot).207 is good but it doesn't have heart, only electronics. That's why 205 gti is the best,it has got HEART and SOUL.In the newer cars you can't find that. ;-)

  • @Ludi205gti im gonna have to disagree with u. this car has got SO MUCH character. its a total track star. in a straight line not very fast, but slam her into the corners and uve got a real winner. on a 4km test track mine (unmodified at the time) was only 5 seconds slower than a nissan GT-R which was driven by a pro driver. it has an incredible amount of grip with the BS potenza tyres (felt like i could take any corner at any speed)...in short, if driven properly it is absolutely FANTASTIC!!

  • @Ludi205gti I would say it's equal 1st between the 205gti 1.9 and the 106 gti as being the best "drivers cars" Peugeot made.

  • its clearly that the bitch had a negative precaution from the start. The car has great handling and the gearbox except from the rubber feel that gives you have the ratio pretty right even if it has 5 speed. Who needs more gears with such a huge amount of torque. Well the 6th could be used in journeys. But this car is mountain oriented anyways:)

  • @topografer couldnt agree more....on a mountain road the only cars that can keep up with my 207 cost 2x+ more lol

  • so we get it this peugeot sux bad ass his chassis is really bad and the only good thing is his german engine.. Yeeaaa right. So you should all buy the opc and let us who enjoy a really good handling car have this peace of shit PUG. kissez fifth gear next be a bit more true about what you say.

  • 2:29 dog shit

  • someone at peugeot needs to be sacked! they make some right toss models these days! 1007? WTF! the 106, 206 and 306 were excellent cars and very successful, i don't know why they didn't just update them. 207 and 307 suck balls!

  • wow muggyold... you just sais how the 206 106 and 306 r great peugeots have u never heard of the 205 gti the best pug eva made.

  • TOLD this cheated journalist that the GTI badge isn't used anymore since the Peugeot 205, she doesn't even know the name of the car she "drives", what a shame fuck fifth gear.

  • Chassis is almost perfect and everybody real journalist who tested it like he had to do told that ESP is useless coz the car turn perfectly fast, we can only regret the absence of a mmore powerful engine coz of the very perfect chassis of the car. So told this woman to shut up, she should be fired.

  • lol this woman make me laugh. Its not an objective point of view, where is the track and the chrono tot alk about performance, chassis and performance or even sterring like she did?

207 precision is CHIRUGICAL, I told you and many other test source told it.

  • Okay, Okay. 175 is quite alot for a car that size, I kinda feel that is a fact, the guys on here saying it isn't are just being condesending and making out that they have really big ball but all drive fiat punto's with abou 60bhp right?

  • 175bhp isnt a huge amount to shout about but impressive fuel econemy tho

  • 175bhp is loads especially in a car that size; anyway are you just some little kid that does not actually know how to drive yet? there seems to be alot of them on here expressing their opinions.

  • nope im 20 read a profile before you slag a person

  • nope im 20 read a profile before you slag a person

  • Okay then, have you actually ever driven a car with that type of power?? do you actually own something in that leauge?

  • 175bhp is not a lot in a car that big (same exterior dimensions as a 306) that weighs over 1300kg.

  • @dantx2 it weighs less than 1300......anyways, yes 175 hp is not a lot. but that just goes to show that u know nothing about cars. torque is what matters. hp is for going fast in a straight line, torque is what u need in the corners. at 260NM the 207 GTi has FANTASTIC power for a 1.6

  • not at all she says it dose 37mpg mine will

the best iv had mine at is 25mpg

and when i put floor it i get 4mpg and you can only run the car on shell optimax

now know as v-power wich is a higher octane that super unleaded so its a bit heafty on my pocket...

  • mine wont*

  • My mate just bought an astra VXR well bad on petrol

  • all guns balzing? its shit it weighs as much as a hourse and it oversteers into a tree..."it turns accurately ENOUGH".

as i said in a previous comment, they only ever kiss arse everything and thiers bugger all turbo lag because the turbo is the size of a peanut!!!

  • @1tomthecoolest1 actually the 207 has lift off oversteer...and with the bridgestone potenza tyres u will never over steer as the ESP will get u out before there are any problems.

FYI, the turbo in the 207 is bigger than that of a golf GTi

  • I have a 205 GTi. I doubt I'll ever drive a car that is as much fun. Practically a road legal go-kart.

  • Try a Golf GTI, you won't be disappointed!!!

French has always been TREMENDOUS with little cars, examples: Renault 5 GT Turbo, Renault Clio Williams & RS 2.0 mkI/II, Megane Sport 2.0 RS, Peugeot 205/206/207 GTI, Peugeot 306 GTI/S16.

And the "mother" of all that: Golf GTI. Still on the wheels after 30 years!!

  • aaaaa...dude, the golf gti isn't french. it's german.

  • right so your givin women drives abuse, so you rekon you could beat her in a race? or you rekon you could beat that bird at the nuremberg track that beat clarkson in a transit? i think not, stupid cunt..

  • MarkySpark001 you are a pitiful idiot.

  • yeah you are an idiot. Top Gear and Fifth Gear are completely different shows, Top Gear is now biased towards being an entertainment show (in which it owns every other entertainment show out there), and Fifth Gear is more your informative down to earth car program, more like Top Gear used to be in its old days. Its good to have a mix of the two, dont compare them cos they aint meant to be. And Vicky Butler Henderson is a legend, and im sure could drive 100 times better than you ever could.

  • You pitiful, condesending cunt, if you honestly think that you could beat her in a race then you must be a thick as that peugeot 207, and don't you dare insult woman drivers, you fucking half arsed cunt-faced twat! 'AVE IT!!!

  • :)))

  • fifth gear? xD no wayyy. top gear OWNS.

  • Yeah old school hot hatchs are the way to go. The 306 GTI6 is a great wagon in many respects though.

  • the golf gti came first an i know what u mean bout the similaritys.

loves the old school hot hatches

  • which came first the VW GTI or the Peugeot GTi? Both Awesome cars. A lot a like in many respects.
