I know that the origins are more in line with the comic the cartoons where based on, but I find it more believable if Yoshi became Splinter like in the 80's show. The whole "they became what they last touched" by touching the mutagen could be explained by it being more "what they where most in contact with", which for Yoshi was sewer rats. A common pet rat learning Ninjitsu by imitation?...But then this is a show about turtles who are mutant teenagers, so that's probably not a big deal.

I realized after learning more about michengelo and Ralphale, the artist they were named after doesn't match their personalities. Micky, turtle is a ladies man and goof ball but Michealangelo, the artist was a hot head and vice versa for Ralph. Leonardo was an artist and inventor but Donatello is given to the turtle who likes to invents stuff. although Don actually finishes his.

But I was always want to know what became of that boy (whose around 10-12 when it happened) if he was shown later in comic or TV series when the turtles were introduced in the beginning around the age of 16 living in the sewers of New York City. (Which, in turtle years could be either 3-5 years at least for me it sounds like almost dog years, and sorry definite a turtle as dog as well. I couldn't think any other ways of how old a turtle is in its lifespan.)

@batmankixass no....in the original comics Splinters master Yoshi and a guy named Nagi were in love with the same woman....Yoshi walked in on Nagi trying to kill this woman because she loved Yoshi....needless to say yoshi killed his ass and fled to new york....because both of them were apart of the Foot yoshi prety much betrayed them....Nagi's younger brother, Oroku Sagi wanted revenge so he trained and eventually became the shredder and went to new york and killed yoshi and the woman

@MegaRockMan1 because up untill recently, i had no clue that the 1980's show wasn't the first variation of the story. i've since learned about the comics and that they came before the 80's show, and quite frankly i feel embarrassed for making such an unimformed statement in the first place.
