I think all the people who thinks that you cant fall down like that from a direct hit to your chin should pick up there skates and ask a player to do like he did, its pretty much impossible to not fall down.
Also the hit to jenner is not an elbowing hit, the elbow is way down, its a correct hit if you ask most people. the reason he is bleeding is becouse his face hits the ice when he bounces down on it.
but beside these misstakes it wasnt so bad refs like everyone says.

All kinds of the infringements connected with DELIBERATE drawing of a trauma to the contender, the player is punished by a heavy fine, and in certain cases and removal till the end of game..."

I play hockey and i have maybe taken 10 penalties (im not exaggerating that number) in probably 15 years of hockey, i have never been suspended and i have never except for maybe one time layed on the ice for maybe 5 seconds. even when i got a mild concussion i didn't stay on the ice. if you ask anyone i play with im always the last guy that would risk someones safety to win a game

If you watched the whole game, then you probably know that there were about 5 instances of high sticks where a russian player got hit in the face. I'm not mentioning the one that was a russian stick hitting a russian.
these were all acts of carelessness that involved head injuries, and yet almost no penalties.

I think all the people who thinks that you cant fall down like that from a direct hit to your chin should pick up there skates and ask a player to do like he did, its pretty much impossible to not fall down.
Also the hit to jenner is not an elbowing hit, the elbow is way down, its a correct hit if you ask most people. the reason he is bleeding is becouse his face hits the ice when he bounces down on it.
but beside these misstakes it wasnt so bad refs like everyone says.

There was not contact to the chin, there was contact to the high chest area. 2 minute minor for roughing at most, if the Russian didn't do his filthy diving act. Russian's are pathetic. В-третьих, у бедного Апалькова ноги подлетели вверх, а это чревато травмами. В-четвёртых, судья поехал и заявил нашему тренеру о симуляции Апалькова, а тот вполне мог получить сотряс (у детей и подростков это более сложно, чем у взрослых).

They always have advantage by referees no mather wich city or country they play in -.- Same just before Canada did either 4-6 or 5-6 (cant recall exactly) where russia should ahve had a penalty shoot when they tripped him right infron of the goal. Instead the referees let it pass and Canada instead makes a goal in the sequence after

@thestar37 what about the russian over the canadian goalie (no call) or the little jab jenner gave kuznetsov that would usually only warrant maybe a minor penalty and the russian only getting a minor for an elbow to the head which he just got suspended for by the tournament officials, and i would like to here what kuznetsov said to jenner whether it was a taunt or genuine concern for him, if it was concern then jenner was really a moron

Russian over canadian goalie was a game moment, not intentional like this, should be a penalty but not worse as that with refery standing directly infront of them. Although the elbow hit: wan't a elbow hit at all but a shoulder hit. Keep your head up.

@Namal23 i think the hit on the goalie was more careless than anything he could have done more to not hit him but yeah im pretty sure too that it wasn't intentional but did warrant a minor penalty

@ZAVikt i will admit it wasn't a classy hit but it was one guy that was stronger than the other but it it is risky because he could have hit him in the face and then would have gotten a penalty. but just so u guys know isangulov was suspended for his headshot on jenner

All kinds of the infringements connected with DELIBERATE drawing of a trauma to the contender, the player is punished by a heavy fine, and in certain cases and removal till the end of game..."

@ZAVikt i wouldn't call that hit delivering trauma, maybe it did hurt him in some weird way but he shouldn't have been covering his face if he got pushed in the chest. but i will admit that he was trying to show off by delivering that hit but im not sure if it would be a penalty. but the elbow to the head may have been game moment but he could have easily kept his elbow down

@ZAVikt im not sure how you came to that conclusion but u are entitled to your opinion. I play hockey and i have maybe taken 10 penalties (im not exaggerating that number) in probably 15 years of hockey, i have never been suspended and i have never except for maybe one time layed on the ice for maybe 5 seconds. even when i got a mild concussion i didn't stay on the ice. if you ask anyone i play with im always the last guy that would risk someones safety to win a game

@Metalfest44 the difference is the elbow on jenners head wasnt intentional, the russian player even apologized before getting jabbed by jenner.
this was intentional, and this player is a disgrace to his country.

@Metalfest44 the body language showed that the russian player was apologizing. if he was taunting him he wouldnt have crouched down slightly or put his hand on his shoulder.
If you watched the whole game, then you probably know that there were about 5 instances of high sticks where a russian player got hit in the face. I'm not mentioning the one that was a russian stick hitting a russian.
these were all acts of carelessness that involved head injuries, and yet almost no penalties.

@yurislapabitch it definatly looked like an apology but you never know, or he misunderstood what he said but was stupid of jenner to jab him if kuznetsov did say something then just shake your head and walk away. Most of the high sticks that i saw were called but maybe there was 1 or 2 that i missed
