Ernesto, This concert was on November 4, 2010 at Teatro Olimpico in Rome. The second act she sang Rossini, Soirres. I was there, it was really beautiful. At La Scala, in January, she sang in German (Mahler), and French (Britten). Unfortunately I haven't seen any videos of her there. It was marvelous!

@adballet Thank you so much. She constantly amazes me to still perform at this level in her 60's. We will be the losers if/when she takes it into her head to retire. I understand, if she hasn't already, that she has some concert performances of Roberto Devereux scheduled for 2011. It would be wonderful to hear how she handles a role new to her. Ernesto

@adballet I understand completely gentile signore. I didn't take it that way. Devia is definitely a free lancer. I think she has arrived at such a pinnacle in her career that the opera houses come directly to her, blank contracts in hand and say, please signora, sing for us anything you wish at whatever terms you require. Then I suppose it's up to these theaters to advertize. Word seems to get around however, coloraturafan and deviafan keep up with her personally I believe. Ernesto

Beautiful indeed. Wonderful to see/hear her in music not generally associated with her- especially German. Was this done recently? Grazie- Ernesto
