  • I went to school name Clayton in Colorado and I live North Carolina now and there's a next town from me name Clayton. It's a good name.

  • nice memories, 1990, 142nd med was my first duty station, we had a fire on the top floor of that first building shown. Later in the year, our resident shoe shiner was shot in the ass accidently by a private who was cleaning his M16 in the dayroom after going to the shooting range. thanks

  • very nice!!! Im panamanian but my aunt used to live there with my uncle Paul he is american.. I love Clayton I remember my vacations there, going to the pool, playing tennis at the club.. I was little but I remember those days the best ever. I miss halloweens at " LA ZONA" I just love it... Im gonig to gry lol!!! My aunt taught me how to swim at Clayton pool

  • Hi, I used to work at this base for several years. We had the fort Clayton and Fort Davis garages. I spent many years in California, when I got back, wanted to see the posts. The AFEES garage is gone, it was used by the Panamanian police, and my research is that in this place a hotel will take place. When I was able to go and visit the Ft. Davis place, it is like a gost place. There is nothing in there, the grass is high and seems nobody cuts it. I will take a video of these places.

  • Spent my last few months in Panama here at Ft.Clayton after moving from Ft. Davis, U.S Army 1982-1984 193rd Inf Brgd. 4/10 CSC Company Scout Platoon. I miss Panama, going back to relive it soon. Good people in Panama

  • Thanks for posting this video, I was at Clayton 65-67 in Double A, up on the hill. Beautiful sunsets! Use to try to run over the lizzards, boy were they quick! LOL Have not been back, but maybe some day. I was happy to see how it looks now, thanks. What was the name of the little island that had the radar unit. It was like paradise there.

  • I remember when I was at the reception station on Fort Clayton, and SFC Clark came in to pick up the soldiers for the 536th Engineer Bn, and in his initial address to the soldiers he said, "Soldiers you leave Panama two ways, divorced or married". Best duty ever 1991-1993 A co. 536th Engineer Road Dawgz

  • Wow.. very cool. I was stationed here in 1990 with the 79th Army Band. I have wondered for years what hapened to Ft. Clayton once the canal was given back to the Panamanians. It looks similar but really different. NCO club looked the same.

  • Great video,I was just talking about the army to my friends,about the darien county.I was stationed in Clayton in 65-67, and was in building near the back with the field in the rear,parking was near the wooded area in back.I was wondering about the EL Rancho club in Panama.Great for dancing and drinking.I doubt if still there but curious.   • Wow!!! This video brings back so many memories. I was stationed in Panama from 1990 to 1993 B. Company 193rd Spt Bn. It also served as the mess hall for 193rd. I saw it in the video. I want to go back so bad now. Thanks for posting.

  • @shonrock1969 I had a homey that was in charge of the mess hall for 193rd. SSG Warren and one of the nicest guys ever worked there as well,I think his name was SGT Goodwin. I was there from 88 to 93 with 59th Engineers,Airborne!

  • I've probably seen them many times in the 3 years that I was there. That was where I always ate unless I was on some detail. I also Pulled KP a couple of times there. I worked at the DSU shop in Maintenance. This Video brings back so many Memories. Ive also been to the 1, 2, 3 club a few times but spent most of my free time either In Panama City or the NCO club.

  • Ill never forget when I would go to the NCO club on the first floor in the Salsa/Merengue club they had a room where they cooked Chicken and Rice and other food that Id always get to take back to the Barracks. I still tell everyone that the best Chicken and Rice that Ive ever eaten was from a little stand in Santiago, Panama.

  • I am still here, and its nice to see that people from all over the world continues to visit. All are welcome!!!. I cannot deny, however, the great sense of accomplishment I feel when I see just one flag flying in the PANAMANIAN air.

  • Thanks for the video. I lived in Panama from 96-99. I graduated from high school there also BHS c/o 97!!! I was there when the bases where looking like ghost towns :) I loved it there and definitely want to go back for a visit one day with my husband.

  • A coworker at the Pentagon was stationd tere and told me how beutiful it is so in 1996 I went, and at Albrook AFES I ment ths girl there Cindy Goodridge . That night I went to Tabernaculo de la Fe in Juan Diaz (Sopla Dios) and Cindy was there translator. We have been maried 11 years. We plan on living there when I retire.

  • Thank you so so much for putting this video up. I too was stationed at Ft Clayton, 1988 to 1990. C Co. 5/87th Infantry (Lt.) 193rd Battalion. My wife and I are taking a cruise through the canal next year and I'm hoping to be able to get off the ship and grap a taxi just to see the old fort again.

  • Great video! I was stationed at Clayton in1955-56 and lived in the bulding described as the mess hall. Then it was home for the 7445th.

  • I tried posting but it got lost somehow. 142nd Meddac! you were my next door neighbor. Hey,remember SM Madsen? I was there from 88' to 93' I was 59th ENG Co,under Cpt Garcia I think his name was. Man,remember the red door club and the food that they used to cook up at the NCO club at the end of the night? Outside of the fighting that we had to do,it was probably one of the best times of my life. Bacchus,Patatus!! Great times man.
