I actually bought one about 3 years ago. I can move about 1 yard when I fill by bucket at the same time. Carry my other 2 buckets in the hopper around the job site. When I first got it I didn't have a skid steer so it really helped me bridge the gap when I was getting started. It works great for taking drain rock or pea gravel around to different areas and then backfilling and bedding pipe especially if the skid steer can't make the turn to drop it in. I use it a lot backfilling houses whe
I've never been to a job site where i could take my mini but couldn't take my dump bed pickup. to fill this this thing pick it up walk it somewhere dump it and return seems like a lot of work and time especialy considering how slow a mini is. The thing looks like it can hold 3-4 scoops then you spend 5 minutes dumping it. You'd spend 30 minutes moving a yard of material. Seems like a wheelborrow would be faster
how much? where do u get them? i think its a great idea and would do the work i need instead of buying a skid steer because all id need is to put dirt/rocks into a truck sometimes.
I really find this hopper pointless. It takes more work to load and move the thing then it does to just take a couple scoops. Ive been running vators for over 15years and this accessory i dont find will be a hot sell.
It is not practical to travel using a digging bucket. Many projects are too small to bring in a loader and this is where the excavator hopper is invaluable because the excavator can handle both the excavating and the moving the spoils efficiently. I find it saving me so much time ferrying tools and parts that even if you couldn't use it to move dirt I would never go to a job without it.
Any contractor that uses a mini excavator is really missing out by not having a excavator hopper to use. It is simply the best accessory available to save time and do more with your machine.

This thing is so cool. I want one for my business it will save me time and make more money doing jobs that we can't even bid on with just a track excavator. About time someone came out with this innovation. Thanks for this post.

Why not just get a bigger bucket that will hold more material??? This is actually the most pointless invention ever!

A bucket is designed around the load forces

What type of bucket are you using, I like the way you can pick up rocks with it

I use a standard 2 ft bucket but a 3 ft will work also.
