  • I am a jedi who believes in God. Who believes me?

  • Just do not listen to all that is shoved at you. You'll be safe when you take charge of your own thoughts. Be your own leader.

  • Amazing stuff like this just says "wow, this is so amazing God must and is real."

  • Amazing!I had no idea that a person's eyes always stays the same size!

  • @Lauren5684 Mine don't , I have reptile eyes ;)

  • I like your quotes :D

  • "We have a whole pharmacy within us. We can create any drug inside us"... that sounds a little too far fetched. If that was true, pharma industries wouldn't exist... a drug, by definition, is a chemical that cannot be created by the body.

Hm, "capable of reversing the aging process"... impossible, most cells have a limited number of divisons, and once that is maxed out, there is no way that cell will live forever (and that's simple stuff still :P)

    Some interesting facts though :)

  • We are the shit!!

  • where idi evolution start?

  • Proooove it~~~ We only have 300 bones in our body to born with?? what kind born structures are you talking about??

  • those tings kinda freak me out

  • lol my eyes are bigger now than when i was 1 year old

  • ummm lol no there really are not ... before posting a lame comment people should really research !! they are the same size !! thats why if u have never noticed before some babys seem to have very large eyes !! and just before my nights sleep as my body can create any drug im feeling a 20gram hit of heroin in 1 sounds good !! xD

  • @whatugundo Heroin would have absolutely no effect on your brain unless there were already receptors there for the heroin molecules to bind with. The relevant receptors in this case are called mu Opioid receptors.

  • @iconoclastic23 .. i disagree with that ... so a first time heroin user wont have any receptors there ? so how does he/she get there buzz ?? hmmmm intresting

  • The nose and the ear thing is completely wrong. It is the skeleton which is reducing in size, making the appearance of a bigger nose and ears.

The tounge is the strongest muscle in the body, but that is compared to it´s size, of course. But that doesn`t sound that fascinating, does it?

Otherwise a good movie, but could have been better choise of colors on the text next time :)

  • all think all we can really sum up is that energy is fucked!

  • Until i read the bit at the end where it says creationists haven't evolved yet i thought this video was promoting creationism, lol. Surely our DNA being 70% the same as a slugs only widens the gap between us and chimps? Anyway moving swiftly on...

  • Braavo Brother, Braaaavo !

  • good video.

  • hey thats the song from glatiator?

  • amazing vid :)

  • this song is from gladiator right??? da ya guys know da name of it??? plz help i need it...

  • now we are free - enya

    i think

  • tnx dude...helpped!!!!

  • Rejoice, hippies, frat boys, and 4/11 supporters, you can produce pot inside your body if you try hard enough.

  • What I think is that God created the very first things ever that developed through evolution creating us. Not that random people came up but you can't say there is absolutely NO beginning to all of this? and how did that beginning happen? There had to be SOME creator unless this is some kind of matrix and everyone is fake exept me.

I'm watching ALL of you -.-

  • The further the spiritual evolution of mankind advances, the more certain it seems to me that the path to genuine religiosity does not lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith, but through striving after rational knowledge.

  • Nietzsche didn't think so.

His prophecy was that once the society concluded God was dead, nihilism would be the next consensus. His final thesis, if he had one, was that there really is no knowledge.

Not saying I agree with this; Nietzsche was more of a literary artist than a philosopher (though the mainstream doesn't seem to get that). I really liked what Bertrand Russell had to say about him.

  • Killing God was a condition for man to enter modernism. Nietzsche called the Europeans madmen because they declared God dead and at the same time thought we could live like nothing had changed. N argued that we need a new --positive--morality to fill the void. N was a philosopher all right.

Nihilism is not possible. Man cannot help but create meaning and purpose. It is part of our makup.

  • I think the mistake here is that meaning and purpose are not the same thing. I agree that we can create purpose, but I don't think we can create meaning (by meaning I mean definitions, universals, Aristotle's forms).

And if there are no universals (as Nietzsche claimed), there is no morality, being that morality is a universal. His skepticism went so far that he didn't even believe in the laws of logic. He said they were no more than observed patterns we had the audacity to call 'laws.'

  • Yes, we create meaning, which has nothing to do with universalism. We create meaning all the time. We create gods, for crying out loud.

Morality is universal. Christianity is an evil morality. Daoism is a good morality.

  • Somewhat correct, but I'm not referring to universalism. I'm referring to metaphysical realism, the philosophy that definitions are objectively real entities called universals (and sometimes forms).

And although we can create 'gods', we cannot create a concept of a god, for a concept is a pre-existing (and necessary) existence. We don't create these things, we discover them. Unless you're Nietzsche, who didn't believe in universals.

No universals = no morality. He was well aware of this.

  • "No universals = no morality. He was well aware of this."

That is the first thing you write that makes sense.

Simply put: without a higher power, no universalism, no morality.

Humanism can be described as the pursuit of universalism, justing facts and reason. But humanists acknowledge that our (objective) view of the world is incomplete.

Metaphysics is a man-made construct, just as morality and god.

  • Problem: if all metaphysics is a man-made construct, then what is logic? If you say "logic law x is true", then you're doing metaphysics. Is the law of non-contradiction a construct too?

If these laws are hollow constructs, then by what means are you justifying the theory of deconstruction?

I think it goes without saying that if Nietzsche's verdict on morality is true (an arbitrary made-made construction), then saying things like "religion asserts an evil morality" does not mean anything.

  • Not at all. Math does not deal with truth. Math relies on theorems: things that are "true" as far as we know. Conditional "truths" are the best we have.

I never said "hollow." I made no value judgment.

All religions have their sets of moralities. All followers insists all the other religions/moralities are wrong or arbitrary.

  • If we're going to say mathematical propositions are true or false, then it follows that Math is something objective. So if math is just a set of objectively true abstract definitions and theorems, it has to deal with truth.

And an abstract objective definition is just another name for a universal.

Also, a set morality isn't necessarily a wrong morality. If morality exists at all, it has to be objective and timeless. A man-made morality is an arbitrary morality.

  • Math does not deal with the truth. Math can only tell if something is correct or not.

Indeed. Morality requires a higher (absolute) power.

But laws and rules are not based on morality in a secular society. A society could not work if stealing was legal. We accept that universally. It does not become moral to drink alcohol at a certain age. So we can create a sort of objective and universal "morality."

  • And if not, then our galaxy will implode - as we've been filtered out, now the aliens will examine the other species on other galaxies to see if any had met their expectations.

  • What if... what if... what if..... umm. .. um... *flame shield on for letting mind wander*

A higher being of aliens who's function is beyond human comprehension from beyond the universe are responsible for the evolution on earth (by a comet impact)? Imagine if we were just one of their many scientific experiments? Imagine if we were just a developing form of AI that's self-aware, soon to be harnessed if we meet their expectations?

  • The last one as intersting..before the quote

  • lol, are you sure about us having 70% in common with slugs!?!? AWESOME!!!

  • You, my friend, must have evolved from idiots.

  • ...oops, that was meant for the racist,

    LouisianaMan68 ;)

  • *tail

  • It could just mean God had a tale...

  • Great ... thanks for the valuable presentation

  • Alligators and elephants have tails too....does that mean we come from them too??

    Hahaha!

Sorry just had to...after reading that.

    Interesting...

    ;)

  • Your genome would fit on a standard CD-ROM. ;) That part was left out.

Also.. lots of stupid comments on this video. Just sayin'.

  • Humans are SO amazing.

  • the strongest muscle in your body is your tongue,,the bible says..Prov 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

  • thank you God for ceating me...and by the way that comment about embryos having tails...doesnt cut it..cats have tails tadpoles have tails but can they do and have all these other wonderfull facts you are posting....how about emotions maybe they came from the tail...

  • One day we will know if we were genetically manipulated by extraterestrials. There is a strong indication that this is the case. Scientists and astronomers alike are looking for a terestrial body that travels on an eliptical plane within our milky way. Perhaps you heard of Planet X. Also spoken of in the bible as Niburu. Its inhabitants known as the Anunaki a race of giants.Particular books not found in the KJV like the book of Enoch in the Catholic Holy Bible give more accounts of these peoples

  • Really interesting facts.

  • most people are split into 2 groups saying 'god created us' and 'god didnt create us we were evolved'. i believe that we were humans from the start but if we were evolved i would believe that it was in gods hands to do so and so he did it. and i am thankful that i have a great mechanism created by god which is my body

  • There's also that third group that doesn't give a shit about anything that happened longer than their own lifetime ago, much less thousands or millions of years ago. I'd say that this whole debate is mostly academic, but then some nutjob would latch onto that and (not-)interpret it as literally as he does with thousands of years of books.

  • I agree, I think God created us THROUGH evolution.

I mean, if god supposedly created EVERYTHING, doesn't that mean he created the foundations/mutations of genes and dna that is responsible for evolution to occur?

    Who gets what I mean?

  • Yes! You're exactly right, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to get through to people. I've been trying to find a way to say what you said so simply. We ARE created through the process of evolution. Therefore creation and evolution are exactly the same thing. When I hear people talk about creation, I get the idea that there was some magical moment when people just somehow came into existence and in spite of all the evidence that people have found to support evolution there is still so much doubt

  • I'm so glad someone actually agrees with me, I'm thinking of making a video to upload, but there's probably going to be heaps of haters etc. T_T

  • Thank You Crazee108. You made my day

  • =) great!

  • i have an idea (and probaly be flammed) i believe, God is sorta like a crocadile, he watched over us when he first created us, a very primitive us, and then as the millenia went by we evolved into what we are today

  • Cool video

  • Except if you took the time, Science EXPLAINS evolution. How and why it happened/still happens. We even see it day to day. So even if you dont want to believe we evolved from somthing else. we know now other animals are evolving RIGHT NOW before our very eyes.

  • what animals are evolving into what ?

  • great video!

  • It is amazing that we have enough neurons to create an imaginary being that supposedly created us.

  • religion is blocking evolution...

  • if you believe in God, how come you cuss? I don't believe in evolution, but at least don't be rude!

  • Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." First Peter 3:10 declares, "For, whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech."

  • This is really a nice song...what is the name/artist?

  • I think its from Gladiator, maybe Black Hawk Down... Sorry, Im pretty sure Gladiator :)

  • Yep. Its called "Now We Are Free" by Lisa Gerrard. Found a music vid on youtube :)

  • Thanks for telling about the name of the song :) it helps lot..

    Shadi,Finland :)

  • Really good stuff mate

  • Human DNA has only 3x10^9 base pairs (6x10^9 if you count both copies) not 6x10^12 as shown in your video so your answer should be 3.6x10^13 meters for the length of DNA in each person.

  • great video buddy. Nice choice of music and I love the facts and pics. Great job

  • Thans for posting this video. Pretty cool stuff!

  • This is a great video. Love it! :)

  • Interesting, but also:

The eye is about 90-80% of it's possible size when you are born I do believe.

  • thanks very much for posting this vid mate! im fascinated by all this stuff :)

    peace

  • Where are the sources that back this information up? A lot of it sounds like BS you pulled off the net.

  • The link for the source is now in video info box.

I am aware of some myths that are found on net like 'we humans only use 10% of our brain' which is incorrect. But just because something is on the net that doesn't mean it's BS. However, I am not a scientist and if some of the info is not correct, I would appreciate and encourage you to correct them. My intention is not to mislead anyone. Peace.

  • I am sorry, Acronym77. You left a comment on my video and I was about to reply it but by mistake It got clicked on 'Remove' button instead of 'reply'. You can again post your comment there if u like. However, here is my reply,

If by your logic that 'intelligence is required for the design of human DNA', then that intelligent mind would be so complex and intelligent that he also requires intelligence behind his intelligence.

  • something that is outside space, time (and logic) doesn't need a cause. god doesn't need a creator... he always was, is and will be. you're telling me that you are the result of "random mutations" that started from one single cell (which is more complex than an airplane)? do you also belive in santa caluse? :D do you belive that love is just a "survival instinct"? what a way to live... i feel sorry for ya evolutionists... evoultuion is complete and utter crap, and you "smart guys" know it ;)

  • Keep your eyes closed, keep happy.

  • was that all your little brain could come up with? i mean, for the love of god, you are SMART, you are an evolutionist! :D you don't belive in "myths"! c'mon, oh ye "knowledgable" and enlightened one, you can do better than that! or can you? :P my poor little djlorenzen, the only eyes closed are the ones in your head. open them, and see that you belive in a freakin' fairy tale son! :)

  • Heh. You are fun :-)

  • Do you really think that no one has heard your line of reasoning dozens of times before and probably answered to it dozens of times before? If you want to get more elaborate answers, become more interesting.

  • @indartims In the beginning of the video, was that your question? Why do human embryos have tails? thats is because it contains the lower part of the spine. A better question would be based on the similarities of the development of human embryos vs. other embryos such as that of a pig or rabbit. Is this due to all organisms having common ancestors or due to God or gods, which ever you prefer, using this system because of its 'efficiency'. I quote efficiency because that can be debated.

  • intresting facts

  • I dont think white text was the best choice. Also, the music blows.

  • 100 billion is about 16.6 times the number of people on the planet, not 166. As Dawkins would say, "that is not a trivial error."

  • Turns out it's more like 15.2 times the number, so we're both wrong. Apparently the world's population is already at around 6.6 billion.

  • Thanks for correcting there. I didn't proofread that sentence properly. :)
