There was about a 2-3 year period here where the WWF threw you for a loop with the matches like these; it didn't always have to come down to Super Heel vs Super Face.

Like the '89 Rumble when Hogan and Savage had it out mid-match, and Hogan was eliminated in the 20's, leaving a group of gritty mid-carders to battle it out at the end.

Or early Survivor Series when an underdog always seemed to be there til the end I.E Bam Bam, Young Stallions & Killer Bees in '87.

Dude, what is Koko's problem here? He apparently did not read the script. Twice he tried stepping in between Hogan and Andre and Dre smacked him away like a common housefly.

I was afraid that Koko migh win, beginning the Ray Mysterio school of underdogs overcoming insurmountable odds years previous.  I forgot Herc won. Boy did he ever fall flat with the push from this.

Up until they were both eliminated, Hogan & Andre DOMINATED this Battle Royal; they combined to eliminate the 1st 11 guys( this includes Andre dumping Hogan )!

Yeah, you would've thought, at the time, that Hogan & Andre were shoo-ins to be the last two in the ring, but they suprised everyone with HERCULES coming out the winner. Same thing happened in 1991, when Hogan was favoured to win that Battle Royal also, but instead, Hogan got tossed by Tugboat & MR. PERFECT was the winner:-)

I'm surprised the Hulkster didn't win this. After all he was the most popular wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation at the time. I predicted that he and Andre were going to be the last two in the ring and Hogan probably would have eliminated him much to the crowd's extreme thrill. However I think it was a good move on Vince McMahon's behalf to choreograph this Battle Royal for Hercules Hernandez to win. After all, he never allowed him to hold any titles.

At 1:17, Hillbilly Jim could have thrown Andre over easily, but that would have been against the script of having everyone throw him out.

Also, I like how they never replaced the turnbuckle after George Steele ripped it apart.

SEE! SEE WWF/E, this is how you do a BATTLE ROYAL! When you see this you think, Andre will win, but if not Hogan will. NO, they go for someone you NEVER seen winning! Why cant WWE do this now, now you can already predict who will win! You know itll be a main eventer like HHH, Orton, Cena, or someone like that winning! I miss the unpredictable 'omg he won' moments!

Hercules was ripped, even more than John Morrison! It's too bad he never got that much of a push. Then he died a number of years later.
