Hey is that brian roberts dude the one who founded that 420 church out in california? I really dont know if it is but i watched this other video about medicinal marijuana and i saw something about this 420 church. Anyway Brian Rogers you look like the guy who started a church where you can partake and learn about God. I love this country.
Good for california, but i live in INDIANA. Other states "MI" only about 45minutes away from where i live it is legal for medical reasons. Can i be a medical marijuana recipient in Michigan and live in Indiana? I need to find out!
@tommyglasses Yes, it will be legal for medical use by July 1st of 2012 in Indiana, they recently passed a bill stating this. I live in Indiana as well and really could use it for my back pains and glaucoma. If you want me to link you to the bill btw just let me know.
@DavinDaGeek I got your coment and i would like you to link me to that bill if you will please. This is the firt i have heard anything about it even being a possibility for indiana. Thanx for the info!
its not as not harmful as peole think over time it get rid of the lining in the lungs nothing serious but still leaves you more vulnerable. also all the people i know who smoke pot jsut sit there and laugh with thier droopy eyes, they arent more functional they just want to eat. so when people say it helps them concentrate i no understand. jajaj let the comment wars begin......
As great as it is that it's gonna be legal in Cali the one fact no one wants to think of and I hate to bring up is the Federal Government have already shown they will prosecute even the sick of a crime as long as they get paid out of it. Now they will have an entire state to place under arrest for breaking federal law....man for being the best country in the world it fucking sucks to live here sometimes. Why did we let it get this bad?
@Yojimbo707 In Canada it's pretty much tolerated but still illegal, kinda like jay walking, in the books but the police have actual crimes to get to. Mexico...well that entire place is in a bad way at the moment and have never been a deciding factor in American policies except for immigration. And the US government....well lets just say a week long blizzard in Phoenix Arizona will be more likely. All we can do is encourage our states to ease up on the ignorance and prey they listen.
and those people who have problems can actually be treated in clinics rather than spend millions of dollars putting them in jail for drug use and its related criminal activities. jaling people who have a problem only makes that problem worse. you remove the market for illegal drugs and pufffff no more fucking border drung war. no more meth houses...and on and on and on.the positives outweigh the negs by such a huge margin its absurd. ya feds are real intelligent people huh? theyre fucking idiots

Marijuana legalization will do two things. Reduce the deaths and harm coming from drug wars, and it will stabilize the U.S. economy. man I've been smoking weed for 36 years and I've made and lost millions, and I can honestly say it never dampened my motivations :) I just took the mmpi and had an I.Q. test and it concluded I had no psychosis and my I.Q. is still 155 so I say "smoke on people"
THINK THIS THROUGH! legalizing it keeps gov in the loop & brings the irs into it. it will commercialize & bastardize it by; regulating its potency, manipulate distribution (atf), dictate quantities, decides who gets to have it, regulation of commercial production and sale, imposition & collection of taxes & fees, maintains criminal & civil penalties,. the tax revenues are nothing next to the billions saved by not fighting the war on drugs.
DECRIMINALIZE, take ALL gov out of the equation.
What proof do people have that the cannabis will be laced or tainted in any way?! The most potent strains may not be grown to begin with but if we look at Amsterdam we see that the pot is just as good as any illegal stuff you can buy. Cali is leading the way here.
Of course the goverment is gonna lace the weed if it's legal. Weed from the goverment will not get you "high" anymore. But if you have back problems it will still make the pain go away. Like if it was a vikadin pill. You will not be high but will feel the effect.
@Cooliobetch12 If marijuana were legalized and allowed to enter the free market then companies would want to make as potent marijuana as possible because then more people would want to buy their product, and if it were legalized you could grow your own without fear of going to jail, so you wouldn't have to worry about your weed not getting you high since you are the one who has control over how you grow it.
@BioMind9000 I've always been able to get any kind and potency. I prefer LESS potent. Most everyone I know does. There's still shit to do and ya gotta be able to do it.
@TheJoozie I agree I usually only take one to two hits of really potent stuff so that I can still function. I would rather get less potent marijuana, maybe some stuff that is closer to one joint = one beer. I don't like to get really high, but sometimes it nice to smoke some really good stuff when you know you don't have anything to do and just relax.
@TheJoozie Dude, you have to be the only stoner on youtube stating that not only do you prefer LESS potent shit, but most everyone you know does. Are you for real? You do realize you can just smoke less of the potent stuff right? Not only is it common sense, but its easier on the lungs and throat. Very odd post
@Potandthekettle If you prefer to get stupid stoned, that's your business. If you prefer to drink 2 shots of 151 rather than a night of whiskey or beer, that's your business. MOST everyone I know prefers a more mellow and easy high. But then again, I'm 37, have a child, a house, a career, etc. The few people I know that would rather smoke what you do have little to nothing to their names and little to no prospects of it and I spend as little time with them as possible.
@TheJoozie I never said anything about stupid stoned. All I'm saying is that its pretty dumb to prefer weaker shit when all you have to do is smoke less of the potent stuff. Sorry if common sense escapes you. And whats with this story about how old you are and how much I smoke and people you know? It has nothing to do with what I said. I never even said how much I smoke. Youre a weird dude. And why remove your previous post? Oh yeah, it made absolutely no sense either lol Good luck in life
@TheJoozie I'd rather have spiritual tranquility than a bunch of worthless possessions to my name, and that's exactly what cannabis brings. But if I did want a lot of money, I could make way more selling herb than you ever will with a normal job.
@FreeMind209707 how funny... you're probably too stoned to even realize that you jumped into a conversation and don't even know what flavor it is.
If you think a home and a family are worthless, then that's your choice. The FACT is that weed usually reduces performance and motivation. If that's what you're after, that's YOUR business. I don't care how much money YOU can make selling "herb". You don't know what I earn. I do not have a JOB. I own a business. I've sold pot.
@TheJoozie Haha I like how you put quotations around herb, which is what it is, then you call it a "weed". And there's no evidence to prove the "FACT" that it reduces motivation. The only things reduced by cannabis are pain, stress, and vanity. No reason to argue though, after all, it is just a plant...--One Love--
@FreeMind209707 (cont) and I prefer the income I have now to what I made then and at what COST I was making it. I don't like looking over my shoulder. I enjoy my freedoms. I'm in the highest tax bracket and live very modestly. I don't have "a bunch of worthless possessions" and I enjoy an abundant spiritual life and it's not induced by weed.
Lace it? That's what worries you? Maybe you should find some better friends or find someone that sells it that you can trust. We aren't talking about ectacy or Halloween candy. It's marijuana. It comes from the earth. Wake up America.
@Caxwell33 Lace it? lol Never in my 16 yrs of smoking pot have I ever experienced or heard of someone lacing pot. Its a dumb myth perpetuated by propaganda
The City OKs it, few months to Few Years, then everything downhill, Kinda like How the Voting System works., Get mad people to vote then Change the Laws once they have ur votes. I disagree with Legalizatin Period, Becuz its just gona be another CASH Crop for THEM not the Actual Sellers, If its Legalized completely, there wont Be many, (If any) Collectives, Its happening where I live every day
Why is California the only intelligent state when it comes to drugs? They have already imposed regulation to prevent the sale of Salvia Divinorum to minors, while the rest of the country is in the process of banning it a.k.a. sending it straight to the drug dealers to sale to your children. Now, they are wanting to regulate marijuana and take it out of the hands of the drug dealers! I so want to move to Cali, smart people out there. Go California!
@ADanB2010 Bahaha Not really, Tons of Collectives are being shutdown, Patients Records taken Illegally, Undercovers Posing as "Patients" Oh yes, I got the Article As well, On top of that. Once its "Legalized" its Gona be a HUGE Tax and Im sure there wont be Many Collectives period, I thought Legalizing was the way to go, but its Really just another way they Can Keep tabs on us, SOrry :)
@IvanDripsOoze Yeah sure, lets see them try to tax the shit out of it. This will only encourage home growing operations and the continutation of whats going on now. It would keep my current dealer in business. The most important thing is being able to smoke it freely without fear of harrassment. Keep your eye on the ball
@Potandthekettle LOL well have fun smoking weed CREATED By the Feds, i dont trust whatever they put into it, its just gona be THEIR Crash crop now, they are already closing all Clinics In LA Etc, and Obamas not doing shit, and Legalizing wont do shit either, U can smoke it freely without Fear of Harassment, Try Inside ur house, or Try SMoking it in front of Cops
@IvanDripsOoze Cops don't mess with you. If you conduct yourself like a productive member of society you get left alone.
And LA needed to shut down most of those dispenseries. There's one on every corner! If you recognize how property values work you would know that the neighborhood that has 12 liquor stores in it is less desirable and less money than the one that doesn't.
And obama is doing lots! Like taking away MORE liberties. FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE! WOOHOO!
@ADanB2010 people are fucking idiots...they just cannot grasp that prohibition is more dangerous than any other possible solution. its an age old story. the more you make something taboo the more its desired and the when negative coonotations are tied to anything it contaminates it. thats why bad things situations come from weed. its not inherently bad obviously....so hmm lets think a second. maybe cause its illegal? the true solution is to legalize all drugs that way we can reg and control them
@ADanB2010 thank you, yeah its pretty cool,im out in san jose and there are clubs everywhere, its like pot smoker disneyland out here.If you do come out here go to 420 evaluations on 4th street downtown After you fill out the paperwork its like 2 mins and you out the door with your recommendtion paper or card, which ever you choose.Paper is 69 and card is 89,simple hassle free.
@ADanB2010 Totally with you brother, except the drug kingpin is . . . . the CIA. They are just setting the retail prices for the public, like amsterdam does for europe, and prague does for eastern block.
I am actually kinda scared of the corporations digging their hands in this. Next thing you know Philip Morris (who bought a field in Cali already) will be selling it by the packs with the same harmful additives they put in Tobacco. then they lobby to make "Home growing" illegal. Simple. That is something to be afraid of.
was up everybody im thnkn about startng a website to help get weed legal n do stuff like give info on how u can help legalize weed we need 2 push 2 get wat we wnt n do stuff like sell shirts maybe pipes n bongs wer all the money will go 2 help legalizing weed we need weed world peace let me know if yall r supportng the push n we can finally get wat we want
once its legal in california, its just gonna spread everywhere. once the government start raking in billions and see that legalizing it will cause all the criminal activity to go down and that there's no havoc or chaos like those anti drug morons keep spewing about, the other states and other countries are gonna see that and will legalize it too.
then once its legal im gonna buy a pack of joints, and i cant wait to go up to some antidrug republican assclown and blow a puff of smoke in his face
Would be amazing, and legalizing makes so much sense for many different reasons, but if there's one thing I've learned, it's that the government is full of simple minded retards who are against it. Politicians who think the war on drugs is a good thing, and not a waste of billions a year, billions that the government could get back by legalizing weed and taxing instead of fronting a pointless war that they can't win.
Alcohol legalization never hurt micro-breweries or anyone who wanted to go into business for themselves for that matter. Remember that when we go to vote on legalization in California this November.
EVERYONE benefits from marijuana legalization and regulation.
it will never be legalized, the pharmaceutical corporations would lose too much money as people switched from their medications to marijuana. corporations dont allow politicians to pass laws which go against their interests.
@Steadno can't wait till I catch some dope smoking idiot like you and call the police and watch you get thrown in jail, while I laugh all the way home knowing there's one less idiot on the street
@Helthazus you (and other law-abiding citizens) would actually be paying for their room and board, 3 square meals a day, recreation, socialization, and [relative] safety in prison with your tax dollars, so did they really throw the idiot in jail?
If a bar chooses to have a designated smoking section(just like cigarettes) it will be legal. read the document explaining the law before you jump to conclusions. LEGALIZE.
i dont drink and i wouldn't recommend it, however i strongly feel that you should have the right to enjoy a drink if that is what you desire. the government needs to see this. it goes beyond an issue of simply getting high. its an issue of liberty as well.
@Steadno WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP GIVING THIS COMMENT ABOUT A JOINT AND HEINEKEN THUMBS UP! Don't you people KNOW that you can't SMOKE in a bar?????????????????????????????? Liberals took that right away from us. Rob Reiner.
Why don't you guys repeal the smoking in public places ban!????
@FreeMind209707 funny how you blow it all off like there's no medical information. It DOES reduce sperm count. And in your case, I'm thankful. Just as alcohol damages liver cells and causes neuropathy. ... We still drink though.
Reduces stress? No, it makes what you're stressed out about not seem so important at the moment. It doesn't actually reduce or relieve what is causing the stress. eventually you come down and obligations are still there.
@TheJoozie I know it reduces sperm count, that's why I said that... Haha I like the Phish thing though, pretty funny stuff. But obviously I'm not obsessed with being completely self sufficient, I am on a computer... I don't see why you insist on jumping to conclusions and trying to insult me, I'm not some trustafarian. Smoke your mex, pay your taxes, do whatever it is you do, just don't say herb makes people lazy because it's not true, if it were I'd never get anything done.
@FreeMind209707 and if you want to go live on a hippie compound an dlisten to Phish all day long, I don't care! Be self sufficient and make sure you never have your hand out to the tax payers... especially while mocking their working ways, worthless possessions, responsiblities and accountability.
Pitch a tent somewhere up by Tioga pass and stay a year. Make sure you grow some food and take lots of blankets. It gets cold up there and there aren't any worthless grocery stores near by.
@TheJoozie It doesn't reduce sperm count, though. A study at the University of Iowa found that it doesn't reduce the sperm count at all.
I find it funny how people can get so hostile over people choosing to smoke a plant. You can be pissy at people all you want, but I'd rather take the relaxing effects of weed over being a tight ass prick like you any day.
@GrowTheTruth I smoke weed all the time. You came in a day late and a dollar short. It DOES have negative effects. It's a decision you make to endure them. But I'm tired of everyone in here imagining how it's going to be when it's just NOT. Like Steadno at the top... can't wait to have a joint and a heineken at a bar... how about start with a fucking CIGARETTE.
I don't think that everyone will benefit from legalization but I do not think it should be CRIMINAL either.
@TheJoozie Of course weed has negative effects, asshole! I wasn't saying that it doesn't! What I said was that it doesn't reduce sperm count. You smoke hot plant matter into your lungs and it is going to have heat damage and it does temporarily reduce lung capacity. Anyone who thinks weed is 100% safe is an idiot, because everything has risks.
@TheJoozie That being said, legalizing weed was a step up for places like The Netherlands. Teen pot use is down. Alcoholism and alcohol consumption is down (stoned instead of drinking).
It is not going to be great for everyone. Hell, it might even wipe some markets off the map eventually (forest, oil, etc), but the jobs it'll produce will help offset that!
We know from looking at Amsterdam just what legalizing does. I don't think anyone is being farfetched with thier guesses.
@Grow The Netherlands is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor.
@TheJoozie "The Netherlands is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor."
What does that have to do with weed? Every country has sexual exploitation and forced labor problems (don't kid yourself...do does the US and Canada). That issue has nothing to do with marijuana or marijuana legalization in any way!
@GrowTheTruth During 2008, most female victims were exploited in forced prostitution, and the majority of identified sex trafficking victims were from the Netherlands. Within the Netherlands, victims are trafficked by so called “pimp boys” or “lover boys”—men who seduce vulnerable young women and girls and force them into prostitution
@GrowTheTruth Males were trafficked into commercial sexual exploitation as well as forced labor in the catering, cleaning, agriculture and construction sectors. The main countries of origin for male victims were China, India, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the Netherlands. - U.S. State Dept Trafficking in Persons Report, June, 2009
@GrowTheTruth With the exception of small-scale cannabis dealing in coffeeshops, tackling all other forms of drug dealing and production has high priority. The police and customs officials regularly seize large hauls of drugs and collaborate closely with other countries in the fight against organised crime. Last year, about 40.000 kg of cannabis and about 660.000 marihuana plants have been seized; 1372 nursery gardens have been dismantled; 5,5 million tablets of XTC have been seized.
@TheJoozie The Netherlands simply chooses to seperate the soft drugs from the hard drugs. They allow a certain amount of cannabis to be bought and sold legally through the coffee shops, but sale anywhere else is illegal. The Netherland laws aren't perfect, nor are they completely responsible, but they're as close to legality as we've come so far since prohibition.
@GrowTheTruth The punishability of drug-related offences is comparable with that in many other countries, and the extent to which we enforce our drug laws is also closely comparable with that in our neighbour countries. The Netherlands has one of the largest prison capacities in Europe, and 17 % of the cells are occupied by violators of our drug laws. It has been estimated that between 25 and 44% of the prison population consists of drug addicts or drugusers.
@TheJoozie Yes, they have their problems and those who choose not to follow the relaxed laws are still an issue for them, but it is NOTHING compared to complete prohibition and it HAS improved the Netherlands in may ways. So, if restricted legalization can help the Netherlands in some aspects (definently not all...it can't help the sex slavery), then how much more benefits would we see with full legalization?
You can be as pessimistic as you want, but optimists have a reason to be hopeful.
@TheJoozie wow what the fuck is your agenda? you are just spewing garbage for no reason...were you payed by the u.s. goverment to spit out their outdated propaganda? do us all a favor and next time you decide to share your thoughts, don't. prostitution and sex slaves have nothing to do with a gorgeous plant that has every right to exist that we do. so stop spinning the facts. sex slavery is bad, marijuana is not. hopefully you are old so your primitive ideas die off sooner rather than later...
@glass509 LMFAO if I worked for the government I'd owe back taxes. YOU can spin it all you want. The bottom line is it does NOT promote optimum health in ANY individual. Nor does alcohol, cigarettes, heroine, cocaine, meth, etc. All I am after is people calling it what it IS and not trying to spin it into what it is NOT. People chase a buzz. It's a TICKET in Ca right now. A ticket. Speeding is against the law but we're not going to make it legal so people stop getting tickets.
@glass509 and if you're carrying around enough to actually get taken to jail, you SHOULD be. I'll support the law no matter which way it goes. I'm not against people smoking weed. I don't give a shit if someone wants to smoke it all day long! Do whatever you want to do but make sure your shit is together while you're doing it.
how the fuck do you get high from SOAP?

@Cooliobetch12 If marijuana were legalized and allowed to enter the free market then companies would want to make as potent marijuana as possible because then more people would want to buy their product, and if it were legalized you could grow your own without fear of going to jail, so you wouldn't have to worry about your weed not getting you high since you are the one who has control over how you grow it.
BioMind9000 1 year ago
@BioMind9000 I've always been able to get any kind and potency. I prefer LESS potent. Most everyone I know does. There's still shit to do and ya gotta be able to do it.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie I agree I usually only take one to two hits of really potent stuff so that I can still function. I would rather get less potent marijuana, maybe some stuff that is closer to one joint = one beer. I don't like to get really high, but sometimes it nice to smoke some really good stuff when you know you don't have anything to do and just relax.
BioMind9000 1 year ago

TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie I never said anything about stupid stoned. All I'm saying is that its pretty dumb to prefer weaker shit when all you have to do is smoke less of the potent stuff. Sorry if common sense escapes you. And whats with this story about how old you are and how much I smoke and people you know? It has nothing to do with what I said. I never even said how much I smoke. Youre a weird dude. And why remove your previous post? Oh yeah, it made absolutely no sense either lol Good luck in life
Potandthekettle 1 year ago
@TheJoozie I'd rather have spiritual tranquility than a bunch of worthless possessions to my name, and that's exactly what cannabis brings. But if I did want a lot of money, I could make way more selling herb than you ever will with a normal job.
FreeMind209707 1 year ago
@FreeMind209707 how funny... you're probably too stoned to even realize that you jumped into a conversation and don't even know what flavor it is.
If you think a home and a family are worthless, then that's your choice. The FACT is that weed usually reduces performance and motivation. If that's what you're after, that's YOUR business. I don't care how much money YOU can make selling "herb". You don't know what I earn. I do not have a JOB. I own a business. I've sold pot.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie Haha I like how you put quotations around herb, which is what it is, then you call it a "weed". And there's no evidence to prove the "FACT" that it reduces motivation. The only things reduced by cannabis are pain, stress, and vanity. No reason to argue though, after all, it is just a plant...--One Love--
FreeMind209707 1 year ago
@FreeMind209707 (cont) and I prefer the income I have now to what I made then and at what COST I was making it. I don't like looking over my shoulder. I enjoy my freedoms. I'm in the highest tax bracket and live very modestly. I don't have "a bunch of worthless possessions" and I enjoy an abundant spiritual life and it's not induced by weed.
But thanks for playing.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
Lace it? That's what worries you? Maybe you should find some better friends or find someone that sells it that you can trust. We aren't talking about ectacy or Halloween candy. It's marijuana. It comes from the earth. Wake up America.

IvanDripsOoze 1 year ago
@IvanDripsOoze Yeah sure, lets see them try to tax the shit out of it. This will only encourage home growing operations and the continutation of whats going on now. It would keep my current dealer in business. The most important thing is being able to smoke it freely without fear of harrassment. Keep your eye on the ball
Potandthekettle 1 year ago
@Potandthekettle LOL well have fun smoking weed CREATED By the Feds, i dont trust whatever they put into it, its just gona be THEIR Crash crop now, they are already closing all Clinics In LA Etc, and Obamas not doing shit, and Legalizing wont do shit either, U can smoke it freely without Fear of Harassment, Try Inside ur house, or Try SMoking it in front of Cops

@IvanDripsOoze Did you even read my post? Obviously not

I am actually kinda scared of the corporations digging their hands in this. Next thing you know Philip Morris (who bought a field in Cali already) will be selling it by the packs with the same harmful additives they put in Tobacco. then they lobby to make "Home growing" illegal. Simple. That is something to be afraid of.

once its legal in california, its just gonna spread everywhere. once the government start raking in billions and see that legalizing it will cause all the criminal activity to go down and that there's no havoc or chaos like those anti drug morons keep spewing about, the other states and other countries are gonna see that and will legalize it too.
then once its legal im gonna buy a pack of joints, and i cant wait to go up to some antidrug republican assclown and blow a puff of smoke in his face

@TheJoozie Haha wait I forgot it reduces my sperm count too....
FreeMind209707 1 year ago
@FreeMind209707 funny how you blow it all off like there's no medical information. It DOES reduce sperm count. And in your case, I'm thankful. Just as alcohol damages liver cells and causes neuropathy. ... We still drink though.
Reduces stress? No, it makes what you're stressed out about not seem so important at the moment. It doesn't actually reduce or relieve what is causing the stress. eventually you come down and obligations are still there.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie I know it reduces sperm count, that's why I said that... Haha I like the Phish thing though, pretty funny stuff. But obviously I'm not obsessed with being completely self sufficient, I am on a computer... I don't see why you insist on jumping to conclusions and trying to insult me, I'm not some trustafarian. Smoke your mex, pay your taxes, do whatever it is you do, just don't say herb makes people lazy because it's not true, if it were I'd never get anything done.
FreeMind209707 1 year ago
@FreeMind209707 and if you want to go live on a hippie compound an dlisten to Phish all day long, I don't care! Be self sufficient and make sure you never have your hand out to the tax payers... especially while mocking their working ways, worthless possessions, responsiblities and accountability.
Pitch a tent somewhere up by Tioga pass and stay a year. Make sure you grow some food and take lots of blankets. It gets cold up there and there aren't any worthless grocery stores near by.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie It doesn't reduce sperm count, though. A study at the University of Iowa found that it doesn't reduce the sperm count at all.
I find it funny how people can get so hostile over people choosing to smoke a plant. You can be pissy at people all you want, but I'd rather take the relaxing effects of weed over being a tight ass prick like you any day.
GrowTheTruth 1 year ago
@GrowTheTruth I smoke weed all the time. You came in a day late and a dollar short. It DOES have negative effects. It's a decision you make to endure them. But I'm tired of everyone in here imagining how it's going to be when it's just NOT. Like Steadno at the top... can't wait to have a joint and a heineken at a bar... how about start with a fucking CIGARETTE.
I don't think that everyone will benefit from legalization but I do not think it should be CRIMINAL either.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie Of course weed has negative effects, asshole! I wasn't saying that it doesn't! What I said was that it doesn't reduce sperm count. You smoke hot plant matter into your lungs and it is going to have heat damage and it does temporarily reduce lung capacity. Anyone who thinks weed is 100% safe is an idiot, because everything has risks.
GrowTheTruth 1 year ago
@TheJoozie That being said, legalizing weed was a step up for places like The Netherlands. Teen pot use is down. Alcoholism and alcohol consumption is down (stoned instead of drinking).
It is not going to be great for everyone. Hell, it might even wipe some markets off the map eventually (forest, oil, etc), but the jobs it'll produce will help offset that!
We know from looking at Amsterdam just what legalizing does. I don't think anyone is being farfetched with thier guesses.
GrowTheTruth 1 year ago
@Grow The Netherlands is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie "The Netherlands is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor."
What does that have to do with weed? Every country has sexual exploitation and forced labor problems (don't kid yourself...do does the US and Canada). That issue has nothing to do with marijuana or marijuana legalization in any way!
GrowTheTruth 1 year ago
@GrowTheTruth During 2008, most female victims were exploited in forced prostitution, and the majority of identified sex trafficking victims were from the Netherlands. Within the Netherlands, victims are trafficked by so called “pimp boys” or “lover boys”—men who seduce vulnerable young women and girls and force them into prostitution
maybe a step up should have been eliminating THAT
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@GrowTheTruth Males were trafficked into commercial sexual exploitation as well as forced labor in the catering, cleaning, agriculture and construction sectors. The main countries of origin for male victims were China, India, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the Netherlands. - U.S. State Dept Trafficking in Persons Report, June, 2009
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@GrowTheTruth With the exception of small-scale cannabis dealing in coffeeshops, tackling all other forms of drug dealing and production has high priority. The police and customs officials regularly seize large hauls of drugs and collaborate closely with other countries in the fight against organised crime. Last year, about 40.000 kg of cannabis and about 660.000 marihuana plants have been seized; 1372 nursery gardens have been dismantled; 5,5 million tablets of XTC have been seized.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie The Netherlands simply chooses to seperate the soft drugs from the hard drugs. They allow a certain amount of cannabis to be bought and sold legally through the coffee shops, but sale anywhere else is illegal. The Netherland laws aren't perfect, nor are they completely responsible, but they're as close to legality as we've come so far since prohibition.
GrowTheTruth 1 year ago
@GrowTheTruth The punishability of drug-related offences is comparable with that in many other countries, and the extent to which we enforce our drug laws is also closely comparable with that in our neighbour countries. The Netherlands has one of the largest prison capacities in Europe, and 17 % of the cells are occupied by violators of our drug laws. It has been estimated that between 25 and 44% of the prison population consists of drug addicts or drugusers.
TheJoozie 1 year ago
@TheJoozie Yes, they have their problems and those who choose not to follow the relaxed laws are still an issue for them, but it is NOTHING compared to complete prohibition and it HAS improved the Netherlands in may ways. So, if restricted legalization can help the Netherlands in some aspects (definently not all...it can't help the sex slavery), then how much more benefits would we see with full legalization?
You can be as pessimistic as you want, but optimists have a reason to be hopeful.
GrowTheTruth 1 year ago
@GrowTheTruth THAT being said, I guess we all learn something new every day. netherlands really didnt "legalize drugs"

@TheJoozie wow what the fuck is your agenda? you are just spewing garbage for no reason...were you payed by the u.s. goverment to spit out their outdated propaganda? do us all a favor and next time you decide to share your thoughts, don't. prostitution and sex slaves have nothing to do with a gorgeous plant that has every right to exist that we do. so stop spinning the facts. sex slavery is bad, marijuana is not. hopefully you are old so your primitive ideas die off sooner rather than later...
glass509 1 year ago
@glass509 LMFAO if I worked for the government I'd owe back taxes. YOU can spin it all you want. The bottom line is it does NOT promote optimum health in ANY individual. Nor does alcohol, cigarettes, heroine, cocaine, meth, etc. All I am after is people calling it what it IS and not trying to spin it into what it is NOT. People chase a buzz. It's a TICKET in Ca right now. A ticket. Speeding is against the law but we're not going to make it legal so people stop getting tickets.
