Chippendale's lost some of his hearing and he wears ear plugs and ear muffs. Gibson probably has too. They're gonna need to turn the amps down if they don't wanna lose anymore of their hearing. I like their music and the loud noise, but if they wanna still play, they'll need to turn the amps down.
FUCK YEAH I saw these guys in San Francisco it was one of the coolest shows I've ever been to. 15 minutes in there's dozens of people flying around without half of their clothes on.
yes i have "heard" that as well... havent read it tho. when i saw them in santa fe high mayhem last year chippendale was wearing very small custom fit earplugs inside his hood and then the large blue earmuffs over all that... one of the best shows you will ever see... just be sure to bring earplugs
i was at that santa fe show and i know i have mild tinnitus because of it. but really, i'm not at all upset about it. it was one of the most unbelievable experienced i've ever had.
dude, i saw/filmed them twice in the netherlands a few months ago, last week i saw them in paris, where they played a few months ago too and they were in barcalona. Those are just the ones i know of, keep an eye on their tourdates, they tour everywhere, it's sooo awesome :D
Brian c told me he's quite deaf at one hear because of the snare (he tends to turn his head a bit to the side). But now he hears different frequencies (low ones i thought) than with his other ear.
the interview is going to be online this summer with footage of the vera gig in groningen (netherlands), occi in amsterdam (als NL) and the villette sonique outdoor show in paris :D
lol, I'm also amazed that BC doesn't mic his drums at all. I mean, with 1500 watts kicking behind you, you'd think that maybe the drums could use a little help...guess not. I've heard from friends that up close, the drums are nice and loud, but from the back, all you can hear is cymbals.
god dammit i love these two! even though i can't hear a word he's saying i love the drummer's style of singing! and brian (bass) dammit some of the stuff he does with that bass is NUTS!

I love how the bass just tweaks the crappy little mic on the camera.

How long are the brian's going to be able to perform before they get hearing loss?

They've been wearing earplugs from time to time at least, I believe.
I think Chipp is at least a little deaf already, but I don't remember where I heard or read that.

Yeah, I lacked earplugs when I went in May.
Still in recovery.

ddeeaaddbbiirrdd 4 years ago 4
haha, yeah it was extremely loud; I started feeling like I was going to black out from how loud it was since I was right by some amps when I saw them

actually that's exactly the reason he stared amping his kickbass. The sound was blocked by the crowd, so now it's amplified.
