  • Anne Sexton...my favorite poet, such an inspiration beautiful tribute

  • Stellar! Thank you.

  • @mberning1 Thank YOU!

  • @dadasopher, Diane Wood Middlebrook, wrote a biography of Anne Sexton's life and this biography has willed Linda Gray :)

  • @dadasopher, this is a wonderful tribute you've been able to make a summary of the life of Anne Sexton, she is an extraordinary woman. She has lived in the souls of so many wonderful people, she was a very sensitive woman, she was a great artist. thanks because I love Anne Sexton. Thank you very much.

  • @SvevaForever Thank you so much. She was so extraordinary, and her writing still is. Gathering her photographs was a labor of love.

  • Anne Sexton is my life she is my beginning and my end, I love this woman unique. Thanks

  • @SvevaForever You are very welcome!

  • @mgwest07 Jane Monheit. I heard her sing this a few years ago at the San Francisco Jazz Festival, in the Masonic Auditorium, and I went out and bought a CD with this piece. She looks as good as she sounds. Very classy.

  • I have Linda's bio, it's great, and I've read it many times, but she doesn't mention it. I've just always wondered about it --

  • @YellowMangerCalling Too bad Kayo never wrote a poem (or robbed a bank!), then he'd qualify for a place on Wikipedia. I'm feeling curious about him now. I wish he'd kept a diary or something.

  • Does anyone know Kayo's birthday? i can't find it anywhere at all --

  • @YellowMangerCalling Good question. I've been looking all over the web and can't find it anywhere, either. Maybe if we had one of those super-search enginges like they have on those TV police shows, we would find out. Too bad. I wonder if Linda Gray's bio of her mom might mention it somewhere.

  • grazie, grazie, davvero.

  • A great poet in the centry.

  • Great woman was poor old Anne...I love her work...nice trib.

Anne is a wonderful woman..she really is.

  • please feel free to use this. i found these pics in various parts of the web. she's wonderful!

  • Beautiful.

  • Where did you get this from...I am related to Anne and heard alot of things down the family line...but never this! I hope you can substantiate such a disgraceful thing to say...

  • me too i am related to her as well

  • se actually used to sing this song

  • My stepmother is the daughter of Anne Sexton. I think you're lying. its soo rude of you dink. Kiwi, i agree but this BigDink guy, is just a dink....

  • I used to have the Middlebrook bio of Anne-I could kick myself for trading it in at the book store! I have the 'blue' background complete poems edition-I really like that pic of Anne thanks for putting it in here! I've not seen many of the pictures here.

  • I can't thank you enough for this tribute! A beautiful tribute to a beautiful, intelligent and mysterious woman. She is my favorite modern poet.

  • Somewhere over the rainbow....skies are blue....

  • I've not seen these pictures before...where did you get them? Are you kin to Anne?

  • I miss you...

  • the last time we saw you was in new York...Mama said she was worried about you...

  • she had beautiful eyes. Windows to a tortured soul.

  • Indeed.

  • This is an amazing presentation of Anne Sexton. Her face is an opera in itself. I love her poems. Dorothea

  • oh my where did you get these pictures? Especially the one at 3:04!!!! I want them! Please send me a mesage.

  • This really fits, because Judy Garland was Anne's favorite singer!

  • Thanks! - I didn't know that. The song seemed to go with Anne Sexton's pics, poems and bio. I'd forgotten that she lived during the Judy Garland years. It makes sense that the poet should love the singer. They were two great artists with powerful emotions, and they expressed these emotions powerfully in their work.
