Jason did not "give up". He realized that a performer who sings from the heart and soul can not crank out imitations of other singers like a machine. The American Idol format wasn't good for someone who needed to fall in love with the songs before he could do them justice. Jason will do just fine without AI.

Unfortunately like politics, one event can blow it all. But, unless there's some dirty politics goin on, David A should win this handily.
