@SilVeRS1325 have to fully strip the motor down and port it with a die grinder, not a job for the average back yard mechanic, a bridgeport actualy has a smaller port ground in above the stock port leaving a bridge between the 2 ports hence the name bridgeport, to take full advantage of a bridgeport its best to make the standard port larger aswell. you can kiss good fuel consumption good bye aswell, a basic setup is a webber type carby, 2 inch headers and a 3 inch exhaust, bigger fuel pump.

do a search on here and type in how to port a rotary engine, there should be a few vids showing how its done. its not cheap to do as you have to fully rebuild the motor and to do a good job it would be wise to put all new seals and so on in it when putting it back together. if you get a fc thats turbo its going to cost even more since you will need a retune or a full aftermarket computer like a microtech or power fc, stock injectors should be ok if all you want is the brap brap brap sound

@myrx2 you can also get the ol direct injection injectors aswell from a 12a 13bt are 560cc multipoint the old 12a t are 800cc and run the same impedance

@rollzon20z yeah thats true but its getting hard finding 12at injectors, most are either screwed or over priced. can always just get the 13bt ones hi flowed for a slight increase in fuel. bit cheaper that way and should work for the setup hes after.

@myrx2 i justy done some research on some injectors and found after market were cheaper! i rang Mazda $156 each for the factory ones and on trademem dot co dot nz you can get 1000cc and 1680cc for $100 an injector!

@rollzon20z 1000cc injectors are a over kill for a street car, you will be lucky to get 250-300ks out of a tank driving on the high way. id also be carefull of buying stuff like injectors,turbos or wastegates from ebay or trademe unless its from a good online shop or a common brand, ive seen alot of motors killed buy cheap ebay copy parts.

@rollzon20z i would still be a bit iffy buying fuel system parts from auction sites. they are the one thing that can kill a motor in the blink of an eye. i would rather spent $1000+ on injectors, regulator and a pump from a well knowen workshop or distributor then have to spend $10000 rebuilding my motor. a mate of mine blew the motor in his gtir pulsar coz it over boosted from a cheap $130) ebay copy external wastegate over heating and melting everything inside it. its just my opinion :-)

@myrx2 yea i understand were you're coming from dude, i rebuild the engine and ported it my self with all new genuine mazda parts except i used ssa unbreakable 3mm seals and didn't need to replace rotors they were still mint ! when i drop it i'll take it 500 metres down the road and get warren to dyno at pulse performance (ppre) handy eh lol. you heard of ppre? he built the quad rotor fd d1 car MADBULL and the rx8 and the joker mini truck plus morel, he knows his bizo

@rollzon20z good idea getting them flow tested and checked out. i bet if you flow tested a bunch of brand new injectors they would be the odd one that flows a bit less than the others lol yeah ive heard of ppre, i got a few parts off them when i was living in wellington a few years ago. when i left school i did a apprenticeship with mazfix back when they had there ser6 drag car. i left a few months before they got there baretta that ran the first 6sec pass in oz :-)

@myrx2 that would have been when he sort of first started up in wanganui, i done my apprenticship at wanganui Ford motors which is the mazda dealership as well i left not long after the rx8 with the dirty side port engine come out had to go on a block course down wellington on the renisis, i tell you what wanganui has turned in to such a rotary town anything and everthing has a rotary and if you can't see one you can hear one lol my mates got a 13b bridgeport turbo 2000 toyota altezza

its an 1989 series 5 rx7 FC3S.

This video is during it's run in period.. we found out that in actual fact it was running with out the MAF plugged in!!!!!
