  • sounds real good,

  • I want to hear this thing pushed straight through a vintage tube amp and see what dirt I could get out of it. I'd love to hear some lo-fi garage mojo coming out of it.

  • @trentger1 haha if you got one, go for it! You wont find vintage gear around here though. Its all Blackstar, Ibanez, Carvin and Dunlop as far as the eye can see.

  • @RussianCivilian ты Русский чтоль?

  • @DOitHAAAARD niet. Leituvos.

  • @maldororfiend dude you're wrong. Its pronounced exactly as I say it. Originally called Ibanez (eye-bahn-yez) a spanish guitar maker in the late 1800's. Their factory burnt down during the Spanish civil war. A japanese company bought it. Now it is what it is today. I endorse Ibanez, I think i would know how to pronounce their name properly....

  • @RussianCivilian exactly. it's spanish.Ibáñez. in spanish it's not "eye", and actually not "z". correct pronunciation is i-bahn-ieth. But, as always, foreign words, brands etc. are changed in english because no one can pronounce them right. And btw, owning a ferrari doesn't necessarily mean you know how to drive it.

  • I bought this guitar a couple years ago same setup, the DiMarzio Strap, and it sounds so freaking amazing!!!!

  • how is this baby on some punk rock?

  • @LilReaper608 im sure it'd do fine since punk isnt terribly demanding as far as tonal diversity goes. This guitar is mainly for highly processed FXs, the mini humbucker assures that those FXs dont get lost in the loop or fuzzy.

  • great - lose the shades

  • I guess this guitar is meant to be played highly processed. Forget a straight clean use of the guitar. To warm it up for the type of music it is meant to be used for I reckon a phaser would be the base 'clean' sound. Talk about trebly!!!

  • @CTuxford ah yeah, man, you nailed it. thats exactly what this thing is for, highly processed rhythmic stuff, lots of flange and saturation and stuff. The mini-humbucker in the bridge position allows for those tones to cut through the mix easily, its perfect for The Mars Volta. Any other use i think you'd rather use something different.

  • Thanks, our band in Istanbul is looking for a new guitar and this review was helpful

  • STFU AND PLAY

  • @Lachy101 STFU AND LISTEN ITS A GUITAR REVIEW! :P

  • you run ultrasounds on boilers?

  • @2dhudson Yeah NDT Technician: UT/PT/MT/VT Level 2 thru SNT. You know the business? I also have a Level 1 CWI. That was hard to get.

  • where was it made?

  • @MarijuanaGood4U Korea I think (Southern, of course).

  • not bad - quite a meaty sound for such a small guitar

  • How come your wearing sunglasses indoors, while doing a video about the performance of your guitar?

  • @Dontwealldigmusic cause he's awesome?

  • u lov cawk

  • @aarosansky really, Aaron?

  • Not bad at all, stick with Mars Volta and you'll stay a happy fellow :)

  • @RussianCivilian Whats your foot pedal setup at the start of the video? It sounds really nice and ive been wanting to buy some new pedals. I just need to make sure i buy the right ones.

  • @pacothebadass i use a Digitech RP500 sided by a Boss RX20 loop. Thats about it. I was actually going to go to Boss for a new rig, and add a Dunlop Multi-Wah, Ibanez TS-9, and various Boss fx's like delay and flange. The RP500 is alright but its hard to get good tones out of it without a really good amp.

  • @RussianCivilian Thanks man. Ive been trying to get a band started and i just need to know which pedals to invest in.

  • Good demo of the guitar, can't find one that's not over a TMV jam track

  • its 22 scales bro not 24

  • @Alvolta25 uh no. no it is a 24 scale, which means 24 inch neck. look it up, 22 scale is kiddie size, they don't even make 22 scale. go to zZounds(.)com and look at the specs.

  • @RussianCivilian Ibanez rule man ! awesome guitar, im planing to get an iceman ;P

And also, gibson is kinda lame, i eard that they banned tokai or something for making better and cheaper copies of gibson guitars

  • @Luvinhas yeah i can see them banning a company. how can you blame them their sales are at an all time low because they haven't figured out what a recession is and how it impacts people's ability to buy expensive shit that they don't really need.

  • @Alvolta25 Very true bro. It is a 24 inch scale from bridge to nut, and has 22 frets. I just got mine on Friday, so im SUPER stoked! :)

  • the guitar is nice, but you should be saving up for the buckethead sig!!

  • @speaker3600 no matter how awesome buckethead is, its still a Gibson. And I fucking hate Gibson. So im playing Ibanez until buckethead decides to drop Gibson which in the future he will because you can only work with douche-bags for so long before you get sick of it.

  • @RussianCivilian what do you got against gibson? what did they ever do to you?

  • @speaker3600 they have the worst service unless you have a custom or a supreme model. If you have a regular model, they just blow you off. Their shit is overpriced beyond belief, all because of the name. Their designs are shoddy and outdated, and above all else; they ride their name like God himself had bestowed it upon them. How buckethead puts up with them I have no idea. Im in this field, ive worked with them before. They suck. In reality, that Buckethead sig is only worth about $1900-$2000

  • That is one sweet guitar. Your foot pedal sounds good too.
