mine looks like dry dirt when it air dries. Yes, air dry. Its not dirt, we hauled it from somewhere and my dad is like an expert with outside stuff, and he says its clay. It looks like mus when you first pour water, but that was before i processed it right.... well see what it looks like....
Will the slip fall off if the pot is white dry? I find it hard for the slip to stick to the pot when it´s not dry enough, it mixes with the pot clay and gets blurred. ( Is that the right word?) Any way it´s amazing how simple scratchings can be great looking patterns. It comes so easy out of your hands. Thanks a lot. Åse in Sweden
when you say that you are waiting for your other processed clay to be ready, when it is ready, will you be using it as a slip or will you throw the pots with it?

Simon:
What a beautiful work! it comes just on time, for me, I'm just doing two slips (the white and the brown ones) for my planned small bud vases,
Thank you, regards,

Without wishing to be rude, I think he means potting with it as it's already ready for slip work as he used it to slip in this video.

Thank you Simon. Never have done slip decoration- seems it's time to give it a try.

You are very good at offering encouragement, Simon. It's sometimes so easy to be discouraged making pottery - thanks for the lift up!!!
