if you know anything about dci, is that east coast hates west coast, way back in the day when bd took the field at allentown the crowd chanted east east east, the east coast will never like the west and vice versa. bd doesnt care if the crowd likes them or not they just go out and do what they do for themselves not to try and please anyone, haters will be haters they realized that already, they brush it off and keep goin and give them something to talk about

Blue Devils have won the most championships of any corps and most championships haven't been held on the west coast. Farthest west I can think of is Denver and that was 2004 I think. Blue Devils lost plain and simple. The crowd might have been chanting east but that doesn't mean that judges are biases.

The volume of the crowd was outrageous! I was there and it was crazy. Loudest crowd reaction I have ever heard, including NCAA and NFL football games, no doubt about it.

I just noticed at 2:46 (one the right side of the screen, one the Cavies tenor player telling at the other the margin of victory (an assumption) and you see his reaction. That gave me a chuckle as well
You know DCI is something amazing and not to take for granted when you are on the field experiencing such an event for the first time. I was with the Bluecoats and just watching this video made me feel like I was there again. I teared up just a bit. I can't wait for this season!
I was Down in front of the Scouts on the very end. When they announced second and we knew Phantom won, everyone freaked out. It was amazing. So glad I was there. <3
They were falling on the ground mocking the phantom show. lol. I don't know how they won. More entertaining, yes, but they don't give scores for being entertaining... or atleast the didn't used too...
I was in the stands at around the 40 - and another fan that couldn't be there wanted to hear the scores for the top 5. So, I called on my cell and said - don't be surprised if you can't hear much once they announce Silver. This vid captures the scene pretty well - and certainly validates my prediction.
I don't think that I have ever heard a crowd reaction like this one, and I have been to many DCI finals. Yes, a decidedly biased Mid-West crowd, but still . . . WOW! Wish I could have been there.
i dont think biasdness really had anything to do with it. In 95 if madison won in buffalo im sure the reaction would've been the same. Its just that entertaining this year was also competitive. You know DCI is something amazing and not to take for granted when you are on the field experiencing such an event for the first time. I was with the Bluecoats and just watching this video made me feel like I was there again. I teared up just a bit. I can't wait for this season!

I was Down in front of the Scouts on the very end. When they announced second and we knew Phantom won, everyone freaked out. It was amazing. So glad I was there. <3

I was in the stands at around the 40 - and another fan that couldn't be there wanted to hear the scores for the top 5. So, I called on my cell and said - don't be surprised if you can't hear much once they announce Silver. This vid captures the scene pretty well - and certainly validates my prediction.

I don't think that I have ever heard a crowd reaction like this one, and I have been to many DCI finals. Yes, a decidedly biased Mid-West crowd, but still . . . WOW! Wish I could have been there.

i dont think biasdness really had anything to do with it. In 95 if madison won in buffalo im sure the reaction would've been the same. Its just that entertaining this year was also competitive. Phantom totally deserved it. Btw im from california and me along a lot of my friends were rooting for phantom since they came to san diego

lol.. the reason why everyone cheered for 2nd place was because blue devils got it... so in return that meant phantom regiment got 1st place... thats the reason why the crowd went wild not because that meant phantom where world champions..!
