I'm asking myself before buying one of those Luminox watches is tritum in the capsules properly isolated from the rest of the watch. If it isn't it could harm us, and in the long run drasticaly damage our health. Does anyone know something about that?
I don't know why it's called a navy seal watch because the seals don't wear them, Try and find a pic of a navy seal wearing this watch? google real navy seal pics, the ones with there faces blacked out and have a good look at the watches they wear. I noticed a lot of them wear there own watches or a government issue Marathon Navigator Class III type 1. I saw one picture of an SAS Soldier somewhere in a jungle smearing black boot polish/wax over his brushed S/S Tag Heuer F1. LOL
@aberdeendeltaforce I know he dad was an actual Navy SEAL and no, he didn't wear one. He wore a G-shock and he told me for diving operations a lot of men wore Seiko's. You are allowed to wear what you want and as Casios are usually the cheapest and can handle a beating, most go with that. Does that mean that because this watch is using that for marketing that this is a bad watch? No. I own a higher end 6312 Luminox one and I love it. I don't need to pretend to be a SEAL, I'm in with one. =D
@Dante2008Allen I wouldn't dare dive with this junk. Plastic case means the case will expand over time and your water resistance will tank within months. Around here, most divers use a Momentum. They build a small, 200m dive watch with proper screwdown caseback and crown for 100 bucks. It's sandblasted so fish don't get excited by a shiny watch and the lume is as good as tritium tubes. This is just a SEAL wannabe watch.
Bojangles, ok a chronograph just records your time accurately for example like Running Track and Racing and Drag Racing all use cronographs sorry Bojangales4699 for returning my comment to you. Although you could use a cronograph for just about everything.
I still have my handy luminox and they are not junk, I have one that is the Navy SEALS professional, and it goes 200 meters or 660 feet. However, two years ago right before Sharper Image went belly up , I bought this watch for 500 dollars instead of 700 which is a good deal too, also it is a great watch I only had to change the battery once just because I rarely use the chronograph to keep time.
@Navysealinthemaking I like G shocks too, but are now over rated because where im from, I have seen ones with diamonds in them that cost 1500 dollars and fake ones from that cost 15 to 25 dollars ( From make shift Style Hip- Hop Stores) I will stick to my Luminox and my Nixion Outsider and Nixon Lowdown, I wanted to get the Mudman and a few other G Shocks from Zales jewery Store I will be soon working for the Military Soon as a CIVMAR soon.
@cjmarsh504 i have a frogman just recently got it because of the depth meter on it really good watch i had a mud man to and yes i agree g shock is turning into a hugely over popular watch people just buying them not knowing anything about them i got the frog man for the dive functions its a really good watch look into it
@Navysealinthemaking My Nixon Lowdown watch, also does the same thing but it's a surfer watch it could tell me high and low tides from beaches around the world and my Nixon Outsider has a built in compass, I have a bunch of watches I have a Swatch that tells me how deep I am going underwater and it water resistant up to 200 meters even a Tissot and a couple Invictas too..
@Navysealinthemaking Funny I have an old video of Stew Smith on one of his Navy SEAL fitness video (very good videos btw), do you know what he was wearing? A Timex Atlantis 100 watch! lol Some people still have those and they are incredibly tough and accurate at a ridiculous price! I am thinking about getting a G Shock for the atomic time keeping and solar charging batteries most brands do not have these.
@Navysealinthemaking NOOOOOOO QUALITY OF LUMINOX IS MUCH BETTER THATS WHY IS MORE EXPENSIVE,,-Case Material-carbon reinforced polymer injection molded case-Caseback-Black carbon reinforced case back secured with stainless steel screws-Crystal-tempered scratch resistant mineral crystal200 METERS RESIST WATER
Just because it's more expensive never means that it's higher quality you fucking idiot. By the way my G-Shock is 200M water resistant too. Just shut your mouth you don't know what you're talking about. I own a G-Shock and a 3057 Colormark. I like the looks of my Luminox way better than my G-Shock but the quality of my Casio is unrivaled.

I have owned Luminox watches since 1990--- they are to me and my family the BEST watch we ever owned. We will buy nothing else.
