Actually this video was pretty good. I was trying to figure out how to shoot at night and this kind of helped me. But I still really want to know how to shoot in ACTUAL nighttime environment with lights.
@DJBFilmz I'm with you on that, shooting at night, especially if it's not in the city where you can assume the light is coming from building or such is difficult to pull off. Basically it's a matter of how you light the scene.
shooting day for night? Why when i want to shoot in THE DARK i dont see many nocturnal animals at midday in harsh sunlight OK the odd Fox maybe but i would like to shoot in their lighting conditions not a humans.
Hey guys don't you have over-exposed and under-exposed around the wrong way. Her face in the first set up is under-exposed, the background is over-exposed, her face in the second set up is over-exposed.
ther's no excure for why this is so low quality. Plenty of other guys have figured out how to use mp4 and automatic keyframes to get Youtube looking clean.
@videomaker ive watched most of your videos and the problem doesn't seem to be that it is SD, but rather that you have a lot of compression artifacts. Maybe if you change your codec it will be a bit higher quality. They are very good none-the-less
many of your triks are ussefull but many are not ussefull with regular people ... when you use that "tools" to fill the light on the face , many regular people (not actors) could not suport the light
The racoon eyes are in every of your videos you shot in the dirrect sun light. If you now how to deal with that please provide us the solution ;).
Usual solutions I suposed it s a diffuser but I supposed it's not the best. Anyway great tips ;).
they have the option for high quality versions on their site, as they have said week after week. Personally I think this video was very informative and I don't need the quality to be there as this is youtube the land of terrible quality so it is all about the info and I learned something. So thx Videomaker!
wow videomaker. Making your videos low quality on youtube isn't going to make people want to buy the High Quality versions on your website. It's just going to make your videos less appealing. you guys are still using the same low quality that youtube had back in 2006. come on. youtube is capable of HD now. I already know you guys have HD cams, so stop limiting your videos. It makes them look worse.
Can you make the daylight look dark/nightime in post?

Hm... Overexpose is when there is too much of light, underexposure is when it is not enough of light...

After Effects was used to sell the illusion. A light effect was added to the flashlight head and to the ground as Julie crosses over.

It does go a shade of blue, but it depends how much moonlight/street lights there are.
