  • i wonder why they stopped this?

  • @bwarrrrk LUL said it was in the practice of running a business not an enthusiast based event, as usually some thick management decided it wasn't a way to generate revenue for the company, Steam on the met was always very much a highly popular event, always packed,

  • @hihat101 stupid management :/ means i never got to see steam on the met :(

they obs havent seen the mainline rail tours that are steam hauled. they deffo packed on the tour, stations and any line side spots

  • @bwarrrrk , oh absolutely !, for most people steam on the met was a handy event to see a steam train run in london without having to go miles out and it was cheap too !

  • what's with the Class 20?

  • So pretty cool for train isn't.

  • they really should do this again, pick a sunday when most of the tube network is down anyway and do it.

  • @jimmyass with two red panniers for the end of 2011 and Sarrah siddons 90yrs in 2012 can LUL please sort something :)

  • @timonsouthern Yes i agree that it would be nice if LUL could at least have 1 weekend where they can have a steam on the met weekend

  • @timonsouthern that id like to see :)

  • Nice to see the LT pannier, when I live near Kensington Olympia station I used to see it every morning when it worked up about 7:30 AM, this steam working continued after the end of BR steam.

  • great stuff!

    love the last shot

  • thank you for posting this
