@s216674.... im sure you already know this, you sound very familiar with the arts but just in case, a good percentage of JKD trapping doesnt come from wing chun but actually panantukan, kali, and silat. thats why we see more hook shots and angular movement with the hands and feet verses linear movement. Dan Inosanto is the Reginal Director for Pekiti Tirsia Kali and JKD very much lacks but for good reason "good wing chun" i think JKD is better for it. good observation though brotha!
Very well said brother! These are very valid points you presented. Thank you very much for taking such a keen interest in the Filipino arts. Good to see someone so learned sharing his knowledge for the sake of sharing, not to put anyone down, or to feel superior over others.
@s216674.... oh i forgot to add. so Chris Sayoc trained with Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje back in the day as well as many other great warriors. well Gaje is the grand master of Pekiti Tirsia Kali. Kali, JKD, Dumog, Panantukan, Silate... all these style have been working together for about 30 years now. thats why they all look the same. cause back in the day...all these grand masters trained together, Inosanto...Gaje...Sayoc...Baltizar...ect. and so on. later.
wish those knife belts etc were allowed in the Netherlands. Shitty weapon laws over here.

Looks just like Wing Chun/JKD trapping with a blade in the hand. Even the progressions in regard to obstruction removal are the same.
