At my school the principal lets us sing at lunch. Today I sang Alfonsose part. I would have sang Edwards, but when my friend and I try out for the talent show that will be her part. ANYWAY, I did ok except that my voice was weak because I was so nervous, when I was done one of my friends tryed to hold my hand down because it was shaking so bad. All well it was worth it. :) AHHH! I went on a crazy talking spree here. :)

I have to say, I prefer this version over the russian version. Yes, the singing is better quality, But didn't hear ANY emotion from it. For all I could tell, it was a friggin love song. This verion has not only ed, in a way, singing it, but it sounds like he's grieving for his brothers loss, and that he is longing for his mother.

They should've played this version of the song in the episode 63 of brotherhood. the beginning part right after the battle and the second half as he gets back al.

@Spinelblade The original al was 11 when he started he is now 18 i believe and can no longer do al's voice. For brotherhood he was replaced with a female voice actress. If she were to sing this song with Vic she would probably be a little too girly rather than seeming like a young boy imo.

@secretwriter3232 This was written for the anime fullmetal alchemist in where 2 brothers from one another had done something terrible and they lost body parts and one lost his whole body but his soul got captured in a suit of armor by his brother. They then went on to restore their bodies (this is it kind off in a nutshell)

I really only like this version because it's Ed singing. Personally, I don't like Vic Mignogna, but I like a few voices he does. Ed really fit his voice, and I like how this song fits nicely.

It's weird to find the English version of this. I even found a finnish version. I would say the Finnish is the best together with the Russian one. Somehow the emotion, and drama is lost in the English version. Maybe it's just because I understand English. But probably also that the Russian original singers put in so much more emotion and power into the song. (watch the live version of the FMA festival) Oh well it's all subjective.
