My parents did it and I followed suit but then again, I was young and was still looking for jobs. We went, waited a bit (we were smart to go before closing time), and then got free milkshakes. It was an interesting experience, but personally it's not worth it.
I think I'll stop wasting my time trying to coupon clip and start focusing on how I can create some value. I will also work on being very aware of how I spend my time each day. This will be a tough change...trying to determine what to spend my time on....deciding what is important and needed vs. what I don't need to do.
MJ, you are absolutely right . Time is our number 1 asset in life. i am happy to have discovered your website and your philosophy. keep posting awesome vids on youtube tanks a lot
Happened to me recently, making money online when I was on a flight to my holiday, no better feeling than checking your sales when you arrive at an airport.
... I'm not stupid Lucious, no one lives forever, no one ... but with advances in modern science ... and my high level income ... I mean, it ain't crazy to think I can't live to be 245, maybe 300 ...
The flip side to the movie examples (though a little of the topic of wealth building) is the conclusion to "The Green Mile" which is when he is under a spell to live forever, if I remember it correctly, and it became a curse because he had to watch everyone he ever knew eventually die. This is unrealistic of coarse but to me it's valid because I fear the death of family, for example, more than I do my own. It comes back to how your time is spent while you have it; and fuck working forty years.
Before watching the rest of the video, I want to answer the question posed at the beginning. Wealth to me is measured by how long someone can sustain their desired lifestyle without working another day and living purely off of passive income or just cash if there is an abundance of it!
I've got a business that runs itself practically and gives me free time to work on my big break. the business i currently have keeps me from needing to get a job which is great as it allows me to have the time to work on building a system that is much better in the long term
i just need to get it started before my money well dries up ( O.o)
When I worked in a hospital for 23 years I took 3 months off every year. One day a supervisor stopped by my area to ask me a question. He wanted to know why I never took money for overtime, stats or vacation time ? He knew I was good with my money and wondered why I wasted money on vacations. My reply was that he should go and ask a dying man if he wants money or time ?? TIME is worth 5 times as much as money in my calculations. Now I'm retired at 49 and people say I'm away "TOO YOUNG " :0)
by the way, i do recall a comment about your house being 'too big'. did you realize it was too big when you saw the financial collapse and you were, essentially, stuck with that house?
I'm lost. It was a grand opening for a burger joint...the line was 3 miles long. To me, that sounds like great business, great marketing, great promotion, great advertising, etc.
Although there is a flip side to every argument, yours falls short here.
It's opportunity cost & the value of satisfaction. ($1.59)
LOL! I also saw this video, three mile line of cars waiting for a hamburger handout. Not only time was wasted there, but GALONS OF FUEL too, while those cars were idling along... It is crazy :)
THANKS FOR THE VID :)

World fuel supplies are very limited too. Soon we will all have to adapt to post Peak Oil way of living. Get ready.
