I always Found that part Where You Make a platform with the little guys Rather creepy.

Especially since you get to watch them go from happy to all.. Dead.

It was mildly disconcerting to see as a child. Often. Since I loved the game.

The impulse for american game producers to alter things that did not NEED to be altered always sort of boggles my mind. "Doll with mouth-gun? NO, make it a castle-robot! D:< Children like dolls, and that would be offensive!"

You really have to consider time period and the actual concept behind localization. This game was sold in the 90's when gaming was at a decent peak in development but still wasn't the multi-billion dollar industry it is today.

Localization crews made choices they thought would make the games more accessible to American audiences. These things seem weird and alien today because the culture isn't what it is.

I would've preferred it was the same, but the reasons aren't as insane as you'd think.
