actually Rico is one of the best Abel's in the States; the problem just is that he's facing Sanford Kelly, arguably the best SF4 player in the USA after Justin Wong.

@skrface13 If this is the worst abel you've seen, then you don't know much about the game or the competitive scene. Rico plays a great Abel, but the matchup against Akuma is terrible. Abel has no safe counters to standing roundhouse

That's not really true. Abel CAN PREDICT the standing roundhouse and his QCF P. He can ALSO wait for Akuma to stop and use his HK sweep. So there is stuff Abel can do.

Who's better 'now' becomes a case of who's improved the most since that last meeting at the NEC.

I've not seen much 'new' online footage of Wong competing, im sure he's doing well. But Sanford is definitely showing time after time how formidable he is if the recent FrameAdv. live streams/YT vids are anything to go by. :)

I tend to believe there are still many possibilities in the game that are not fully explored yet, like for example canceling normal moves (standing hp) to create more interesting mix-up games. I hope players will not get demotivated and will continue to look for ways n which the underdog can win. This of course does not apply to sagat-gief matches, those are rigged from the start :)

they do whine a lot, but here is my explanation. It has been some time now since the game was released and many people have gotten very good at it. So as players are reaching a similarly high level, a lot does come down to the match-up. This can give the impression that no matter how good you are, if the match-up isn't in your favor, you cannot win. However, I don't fully support this view, cause it would mean that certain matches are scripted, only to follow a certain scenario.
