i've done ALOT of magic tricks over the years and have learned that when dealing with mental magic and "predictions"...99% of the time NO MATTER WHAT a magician tells you, the numbers are NOT random, they are forced in a very discreet way. the card was most likely pre-made with those numbers. the entire trick of any prediction illusion depends solely on getting the audience to believe the words, numbers, whatever were chosen at random.
LOL FROM 6:00 to - 6:50.. the song in the background is from the fifth element that blue chic sings oprea LOL... RANDOM MUCH? best movie. around 6:30 u can really tell even if u dont have good hearing ^^
I saw David Copperfield do a similar trick, although the box was inside a second glass box, which was suspended above the stage before the show. Also, instead of scratchcards, there were car license plates inside. Pretty awesome.
i know how he did it iv seen it b4 u see the scratch card well if u noticed they r usuing the same visual display as a digital clock and when he was scratching the scratch card all he had to do was scrathc sertin areas of the card to produce any number he wants too easy
Yes they are using those small digital clock screens, but he isnt scratching certain spots, there are only 4 spots to scratch (7:53) clearly shows there are only 4 scratch spots.
All they do then is send a signal to those little digital displays to show a certain number.
lol @ 7:29 :: it says "scoopy" lol instead of spooky!
The audience was probably planted, and there were 100 scratch off cards. The last guy scraping was a plant too. When he reached into the box they didn't show his hand which contained the envelope.
Simple Explanation: The card is electronic - the numbers are generated through someone hiding behind the curtains [figure of speech for an accomplice]. As the numbers are told from the audience, the "apprentice" sets the digital numbers onto the card. This is why the magician chose the "Big Brother (name of TV show)" host to open the box; he didn't pick the other girls to open it because he needed them to show excitement and suspense. :]
I don't think there are LCD screens. It's too thin for that. I would guess it works one of two ways: Perhaps it was collusion all along, and the girl who threw the dart was actually trained to throw it at that number (she just faked being bad), that would allow all the numbers to be picked in advance.
Or the guy who scratches off the numbers at the end isn't actually scratching them, he's putting a sticker down on top of them. Watch 9:22. He does the finger-flourish, a typical magician trick.
I think you may be correct with the stickers, were they attached on the coin? He didn't have the coin until later, allowing time for stage hands to apply the correct stickers to the coin during the performance, to then be applied to the card at the end of the trick.
When scratching that stuff away it leaves the card with loads of little silver greyish scratchings, in this case that card didn't have them. This explanation seems and sounds alot more realistic and worthwile compared to the one above, well done.
pffff there are mini LCD screens on that card, as you can see its not as thin as paper or cardboard. Someone types the number and sends it to this device... 'Taiwan' Magic.
oh I see!! but yeah one of major production from Taiwan is LCD related stuff lol, thanks again. btw, do check his other magic such as icy hands, he's more known for his hand manipulation.
