The U.S. has had military bases in Germany since WW2. There's still a very small peace keeping force of U.S. troops in Kosavo.. Europe does still use the rely on parts of the Marshal Plan and the U.S. funds most of NATO. It's EU politicians (Sarkozy, Merkel) behind closed doors demanding the U.S. get more aggressive with Iran too.

The Road to Serfdom also led me to Ludwig Von Mises. Unfortunately, I discovered Ron Paul AFTER the election. Technically I didn't; I mailed in my votes way before. Had I have known I would have been campaigning for Ron Paul.

At 6:49 Dr. Paul says he'd 'never get elected', because he wouldn't play Santa Claus... anyone remember that YouTube video Shillary Clinton put out near xmas of '07, in the heat of the presidential race? Hahaha or should I exclaim Hohoho! She sat there, by the Christmas tree, wrapping gifts for her would-be voters- gifts of health care, jobs, education etc!
