Also I would like to address RyanPolak's comment. If a better, life saving piece of equipment is available for our armed forces, such as Pinnacle Armour's 'Dragon Skin', or this weapon system, I think American taxpayers will have enough sense to put it into the hands of the man/woman, who is enabling them to have the ability to make the money that they are contributing in the first place... And as far as I know a bare bones Bushmast ACR, A.K.A. Magpul Masada is around $1500.00.

My opinion, this may be one of the most tactically minded, versatile, modular, and simple to use assault rifles ever made. Period. You can change calibers, and barrel length, so you could in theory assume a temporary sniper role if the need arises. And if you needed a heavier round, 5 minutes later, you have it.

@punkyboy2 You're right, they will probably NEVER be the standard issue gun, but that doesn't stop them from using them. They could easily give them to a team of Delta or SF that are doing an important operation. That would keep costs down and improve mission success rate at the same time.
