  • lol my bro just got a prelude 1992 and he though it was easy to drive yet he stalled it 4 times

  • i hate these 1 mintue 2 min videos...

  • i thought the beep was him sayin' F*@K!!

  • @fuzzcentralage haha I thought the exact same thing.

  • PT turbos are awesome

  • @fngbaker I can tell your in America.. Go to Europe and you'll see everyday manual cars

  • It sounds like he's swearing when the car stalls .

  • 240p we meet again...

  • Comment removed

  • every time I heard the beep I thought he was swearing

  • hold it at 15 hundred revs lol your at 2 hundred

  • @tradesmansassistant his Tachometer is at 2 THOUSAND. x1000

  • @tradesmansassistant he's a cool hippy in a pt cruiser -- how could u be so mad

  • Comment removed

  • The car swears at him whenever he stalls it and so it's censored

  • lol hes driving a pt loser

  • @BLeSSeDoGkUSH420 That was original...

  • @KenyxStudios its not, i heard bam margera say it

  • thats a bad mother fucker with his pt cruiser

  • wish I can do starts like that...

  • @yerowww Thats exactly what i was thinking when i listened to this guy in the vid. Too much gas isn't bad, you just control the speed with the clutch.

  • so sad ppl no more like stick shift cars....

  • leason learned lets go smoke

  • Is it true that driving a standard manual transmission is more fuel efficient, or is that just a myth?

  • @chelseafcfanisy its true cuz before u stop u put the car on neutral which saves gas

  • @chivasceltics Putting it in neutral before you stop and coasting doesn't save fuel. If your foot is off the accelerator and you are using the engine braking (still in gear or changed down), even though the motor is revving, no more fuel is being pumped through. Also using engine braking reduces the need for such heavy foot braking. You have to be able to change down while braking in NZ. It pisses me off when idiots just put their foot on the clutch and coast to a stop.

  • @chelseafcfanisy, it used to be a fact, but in these days slushboxes are pretty fuel efficient as well so it's not that clear anymore.

  • @chelseafcfanisy It is. You either have torque only when you want to have it, or put a higher gear and do economy... A machine will never be able to know what you want to do, thus it will never be as efficient as you. Therefore, this will be true forever.

  • @chelseafcfanisy

    if you do it right

  • thanks i am trying to learn to drive my MT6 SX4. So far I keep stalling

  • It sounds like he's swearing after the engine died

  • too much gas is the way to do it :D

  • my bf is getting an MT Nissan 350z and I can't figure out how to drive an MT, only and AT. This is helping though.

  • Here in the UK most of us drive a manual automatics are boring! the other thing with US cars from when I went there why do alot only have 85 90 on the clock here in the UK most have 130 or 140 mph

  • @sandydogy American cars have bigger engines but seem slower than cars in the UK 0_o

  • @04smallmj I know its crazy I have a 1.3 Ford Fiesta and shes old 1999 but she does 106 mph Crazy! I do not know why the cars in the states have such big engines when they are slower? I think fuel is alot cheaper over there her its is £1.15 a litre think that works out between $1.50 and $1.80 a litre its very expensive

  • when it beeps when he stalls it it should say FUCK

  • @bulgaboi that made me lol for like 3 minutes

  • in germany you have to learn driving with manual transmissions, otherwise you get a license that is only for automatic cars and that sucks, because the first car is normaly a cheap one. Automatic car are too expensiv for a beginners! i dont why the most of the americans useing automatic, are they to lazy to learn it? i mean with traning you can drive a manual trans. it not very difficult!

But i think in the us you could drive with 16 in germany with 18. And with 16 its to young to drive.

  • @Batner112 naah its not that we're lazy... its just people here are more concerned with other things than driving... thus the whole cell phone while driving ban... people are too busy "multi-tasking" while driving to be able to shift into the next gear. NOW don't get me wrong not everybody is like that. But yeah people would prefer the easier way out here in america... i really wanna go to germany though...autobon!!!! O.o... there are mountain passes there right?

  • @fullmetalakira9

Yeah we have a few mountain passes in south of germany the alps! But it next to the border to austria and switzerland and if drive fast their it can get you very expensiv their. And in germany self on the Autobahn-> motorway its not just put the pedal down to ground, many sections now has got speed limits like in the US. Only a few their are free to run topspeed and even then you have to be careful with the police, they dont understand all speedtrips!

  • @Batner112 Part of the reason a lot of people learn standard after they've been driving automatics in the US is that there's only a short (~60 hours) requirement for full license in the US. A 16 year old with 60 hrs of driving who has to worry about what gear they're in? Adds to accident rates. It's just more complicated than it has to be.

Still, the people who get to 30 and still can't drive stick, just sad. Sad, sad, sad.

  • when that beeping sound came on i thought the guy cursed or something! lol

  • so basically dont be a dumbass?

  • wow....thats as helpful as a vid teaching us how to jerk it

  • Its just a car you just drive it.... dont look at revs just listen to the engine..... I have a full UK drivers license.... its easy

  • I keep thinking that he's cursing when the car beeps....

  • 0:37 epic! lol!

  • I see that in america and australia cars are mostly automatic. The beauty of driving is only in the cars with a clutch... Like in Europe.

  • ehh i live in america and i got a manual tranny

  • Look at my comment. i say that in america and australia cars are MOSTLY automatic. Not all of them :)

  • i didnt say that all people have manual. i said most of them.

  • @Krotidas i hear you! automatic is for people that dont enjoy driving..

  • @coolakiIlen007 mostly the typical lazy person :D

  • @fullmetalakira9 haha yeah could go for cruisin but nothing else..

  • A radar, and exhaust..

    Racecar!

  • does that pt cruiser have an exhaust on it WTF?

  • nice

  • Got my first truck 3 days ago and its a stick. Took it to an open parking lot, fount the sweet spot on the clutch, got it down in 20 minutes. Not hard to learn and its very fun

  • Lol a Pt. Cruiser... LAME!

  • @1578393 Pt loser!

  • he is the truth from gta san andreas

  • lol for real!!!

  • LMFAO

  • Your comment made me very happy.

  • LOL thanks

  • @lgallardo93 He does look like him.

  • Thanks! just what i need :)

  • Thanks!

  • If you look at the rpm meter, you'll see that it is pretty static when you hold your clutch down, but as you lift your foot, the rpm will drop with a tiny bit before going up and killing your engine. The key to get rolling smoothly is to find where the rpm drops by just a little, if you do that, and just give a tiny tiny bit of gas you'll get going smooth. You'll also feel that the clutch is pressing a bit more towards your foot than normal at that point.

  • rpm meter = tachometer

  • Thanks. English isa difficulte fore meee~!

  • im sure it is ;)

  • Yeah, that method works well. Point of engagement is pretty easy to find on most cars.

  • put alot of gas and u can do some cool wheel spin burn outs :)

  • then why the fuck u looking up how

    u piece of shit

  • cause to say it! :)

  • i know right

  • Thats my problem. Too much or too low. I cant feel the GAS PEDAL!

  • take your shoes off

  • Lol. I thought they bleeped out a cuss word when the car first stalled.

  • he is right about not even needing the gas pedal to get going in lighter cars. I do that on slow starts from traffic or when parking. it's all in the clutch. But he said you should maintain a certain rpm before moving. That's meant for beginnners. If you get used to it, you can memorize the feel of it and get to however fast you want from a stop w/o pre-revving the engine coz that's just a waste of gas and puts unnecessary stress to your vehicle.

  • my ford escorts clutch is a bitch, hills are horrible with that thing

  • Thats hapenns to me alot wen i practice driving

  • im just learning how to drive my standard and i soo cant find a happy middle ahaha

  • manual is soo much better then automatic

  • The basic no no of driving a manual stick is NEVER rest your left foot on the clutch pedal. It burns the clutch disc, and the system life span is shortened. It costs money.

Always remember to rest your left foot on the carpeting/ruber mat next to the pedal.

  • nah dosnt matter how much revs u give it if u pull the clutch slowly the car will pull away gently itle just be revin the balls out of it

  • Yeah but that will also wear out your clutch faster too. Lol.

  • Stall *Beep*

  • My dad just taught me which gear i should use at a certain speed or in a situation and told me to drive! People make it too technical which us why it usually confuses people.

  • This guy is a nut. This same guy tells you that you should put your car in neutral going downhill and use your brakes in another video. What a bunch of bullshit

  • Why is it bullshit? I'm just wondering because I cannot drive a manual.

  • well i wouldnt call it exact bullshit, but the rnel2791 does have a point. When going down steep hills i normally keep it in first gear. By doing so, the Engine acts as a brake, and keeps you going slow. This makes the engine rev and shit, but i believe it is a distinct advantage. im going on and on, learn how dude, it's hella fun.

  • Well I just bought a manual transmission car yesterday.. which is why I was on this video looking for some tips. I took it out on the streets yesterday and did fine. You are right it is hella fun.

  • then you can`t move the car

  • IF YOU GiVE TO LESS GAS WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE CAR ?

  • it's all about control.. depends on how little 'gas' you give it.

  • you'll 'kangaroo hop' down the street.

  • if u give to little gas it still might move but depends on the car good chance it wont,, also if u dont give it enough clutch and the car moves u will stall like u saw in the video

  • @bajachickenshit: I rather travel all around the wold, then learn how to spell so fu! hater...

  • fucking dumbass dontt know how to drive

  • Wow, maybe you should have learned to spell from the age of 12.

  • bahahaha owned

  • nice reply lol

  • every time it beeped, i initially thought he was like droppin an f-bomb lol

  • i can take off in 3rd gear if i want!

  • the only real way to start off is when you floor it and drop the clutch.the other ways are gay ; )

and is it just me or does it sound like he has a fart cannon on a PT Cruiser ? LMAO

  • hell YA!

  • HeLL Yeaaaaaaaa xD xD Fly BaBy Fly

FuLL GaZ Drop The Clatch And Fly

  • thx for the help and taking the time to reply.

  • How about when you drive in big traffics? Any tricks for not damaging the clutch? Thank you!

  • you can pratice in a non-crowded area, best places are the ones with little ups (hills) uproad parts, stop there, and try to start :)

In big traffic, you gotta Gaz it up a litte, and then release SLOWLY the clutch!

  • do you have a turbo in the pt???

  • wow you guys cant stop copying daves farm what turds

  • jajaja i spinthe tires everyday lol on my ford mustabg cobra r

  • free video it says on the title... that needs to be off rite now

  • that 2nd "wrong way" is good if you wanna take off from a stop light...

    haha.

  • lol

  • good point

  • I love the fact that there are actually vids about something so easy and natural as using a man. trans.! I can still remember when I learned, I was 10. My dad pulled over and let me drive his '67 chev stepside. 327 w. 4 on the floor. Just had to let the cluch out slow and it would pull away.

  • And you're proud you got a smooth start with a torque monster? The weaker the engine, the harder it is to make a smooth start with manual.

  • agreed for sure .ike a 1.3 litre shitbox haha their fuckin turdmobiles to drive

  • actually I dont find it any harder to drive a dodge shadow with 93hp. It can be a pain to get moving on a steep hill with 4 people and a full trunk though LOL.

  • You are the man.

  • nice i gotta black Pt but im Auto lol i wanna convert it tho

  • pt cruisers are not worth it. they are slow and weak. throw a v6 or even an i5 and then maybe it would be ok.

  • lol its funny you should say that mine HAS a v6 with a High intake mainfold and a supercharger kit lol with a flowmaster lol i can get pics if you want lol

  • then that sounds sick. lol but you have to admit, the i4's are sllooooow.

  • lol i need a racing tranny and clutch tho its slow on shifting but otherwise its a pretty nice engine all my buds make fun of pts till they go under my hood lol

  • A tip for this is placing your left foot over the right one when driving a automatic, so when you want to use the left foot for clutch, it'll just hit the dashboard's down part. When you get the hang of it, you can use the left foot for brake. But, as stated by you, driving manual is way more fun, since you have more control over the car.

  • I love driving a stick shift; but not practical when living in NYC

  • I know what you mean I used to have a manual when I was going to school in Boston. Bad idea.

  • lol dude cant wheelspin properly not that u should wheelspin but its a fairly easy thing to do.

  • im 15 and i learned how to drive a manual car by practicing at a local air base.. its really fun once you know how

  • same here cept i wasnt 15.

  • your a gay

  • youre a mother fuckin bitch...

  • Man thats what happened when i tried to learn how to drive standard ever since then ive stayed away!

  • if you can't drive manual, you should really take lessons.

I can't believe people have a good car feeling (parking switch lanes etc) if they can't understand/feel how you can drive a manual.

    99,9% manual driving experience.

And 1 thing manual cars are cheaper en more usefull + reliable.

  • Yeah your right and know what im am going to learn how to drive manual i was talking to my brother he said almost the same thing and that he will teach me i know its not that hard and he tells me its real fun and easy so thanks watch by the end of this month i will learn how to drive stick i know some of the basic's now i can do it!

  • In Europe only handicapped people drive automatic

  • foreal so how many automatic cars do you have own then>:/ and im alrady learning how to drive manual its fun as fuck...what a jerk!!

  • About 80-90% of cars here in the UK are manual trans.

  • i realized that when watching like auto trader or wheeler dealers. i was like jeez even their vans are manual. thought it was pretty cool

  • u.k sucks.

  • You're expecting me to defend my country, but I won't. here the taxes are stupidly high (17.5% sales tax), it's always cloudy and has horrible weather and generally expensive. I want to move to Virginia. :-)

  • I drive a pickup and they don't offer it in manual.

  • or u can buy a automatic transmission!

  • yeah i already did buy one just before my birthday its sweet a v6 love it but i still want to learn how to drive standard i know next time id do better ima man its in our blood to drive anything and drive fast as shit my v6 goes at least 140 on the highway it doesnt like to drive slow lol

  • lol it like he curses when it stalls and lets out a censoring beeeeep.

  • his so guna stuff up his car by stalling that much just for a video lol

  • Hi I would like to know how can I reverse into a streets parking and parking spots in which rpm and how do I balance the clutch and gas to reverse into a streets parking spots and move forwards and move backwards and move out to go out of the streets parking spots and how do I starts on first gear to go and how to I balance and give it some gas to go on first gear with the rpm and how do I let go of the clutch slowly and give it some gas to go on first gear.

  • Where I live in Australia you have to be able to do a reverse park to pass a driving test.

  • Lol it sounds like hes swearing when he stalls lol

  • yeah.. LOL

  • Lol, I love stick shift and all, but I was at a green light and I popped the clutch. So, car shuts off and I get a bazillion honks and all hell broke loose.

Worth the small extra gas mileage, though.

  • You must live in the most angry town in America. It takes maybe 3seconds to get the car started and going again.

  • no shit lol

  • In Europe it is standard to learn driving stick shift at driving lessons.

  • i can't drive 55

  • i can.

  • lol at 1:00 se said a bad word

  • thats a beep from the car being stalled. not a censor beep

  • I know

  • o rly?

  • ya rly

  • no wai

  • LOL EPIC
