Same winter I had snow flying over the hood and my Yukon XL, drove around many stuck 4X4 pickups. I think because of the weight distribution these things are amazing in deep snow and stable and hard pack.

Man, Idaho snow is crazy when it storms. Drove through a storm from Boise to Sun Valley over Mountain home. The snow was drifting all over, but once you could go straight on the highway it was good. Great driving snow.

I own 2 big v8 trucks that give about 15 mpg and can do a good 100 ft burnout on dry pavement one of them is a 97 tahoe, which has never let me down when it snows up here in the north west. one last thing ...... FUCK FUEL ECONOMY if you can't aford it then shut the fuck up. And if you can't buy a rig with auto awd then SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU BITCH.

Why would you not buy a car with a diesel engine and all wheel drive your paying less per KM you drive and your being safe (or avoiding getting stuck in the snow) with an adaptive AWD system... I own a straight 6 2.5 L and I bet my 32mpg is a whole lot more fun then your big V8 just because the body of my car is small and easy to maneuver ... RWD is more fun in the winter!
