She is truly blessed by God, and the difference between Yolanda Adams and many others is that she does not yield to vocal tricks to get the message across. She delivers it with phrases, sentences and exhortations in a powerful manner. That is the kind of singing that leaves one's soul uplifted instead of just hearing runs, riffs and scats. Give me some words that are going to encourage. The same can be said of Tamela Mann.

She is truly blessed by God, and the difference between Yolanda Adams and many others is that she does not yield to vocal tricks to get the message across. She delivers it with phrases, sentences and exhortations in a powerful manner. That is the kind of singing that leaves one's soul uplifted instead of just hearing runs, riffs and scats. Give me some words that are going to encourage. The same can be said of Tamela Mann.

That's an excellent and true comment brother! I love a good run, riff, or scat...lol as you wrote but you have to know when to do that as a true singer. Yolanda and Tamela amongst others knows that. She is a statuesque goddess from our Almighty God!

You are right on it with your point, I think that is true ministry, not trying to impress others with our vocal ability, but conveying the message of Jesus, the song says it best, and as a performer, I can attest to this, When we let go, and Let God, and we step aside, He does wonderfully marvelous things, bless you.
