For those people who say this is tar lets use logic. A person rapes a girl (not a toddler and one person said). He was caught by the police. His father was killed by the person's family. The man has not been proven guilty yet for people to even say he did it. Now how is that related to a man who gets paid to do crimes killing 7 random people infront of the church not related to the incident and in a different city??? use your brains God blessed you with one.

I don't think any one is saying TAR is logic...I think they are just saying that it exists...which it has in many countries for centuries....it's a cultural phenomena, but is actually a big sin if people are educated enough about their own religion.

To the coptic christians....to start attacking the entire religion of islam as opposed to the oppresive egyptian regime completely discredits anything you have to say because it makes your cause look very bigot like and isolates people and creates more anger. Why are muslims in america not killing copts?..I am a muslim myself..I completely condone all this racism in egypt. The problem you need to refer to is the oppressive regime and it's political intent to create this tension.

I'm sorry that people look at all Muslims to be like that, I personally have lots of Muslim friends who are very gentle and kind people. However the majority "at least of those living in Egypt" Look at the many verses in Quraan that promote killing and use it as a free pass. I personally looked at the arabic Quraan and was very confused, some verses promote peace but many more encourage killing of non-believers.

When a muslim southern man rapes another family's kid, the other family would have gathered its guns & opened fire at the other home regardless of religion. Muslims and Christians are intertwined in the Egyptian society more than any two religious groups in another country. This is not a religious crime. This is a matter of lack of law in southern Egypt. The rapist was left to walk after his crime, which upset this lunatic and drove him 2 commit his horrendous crime. He'll b executed, thank God.

I'm an Egyptian muslim in Canada... and while the horrible murder upset and shocked me very much, this too is kinda sad. It's blowing things out of proportion. What happened was a typical "Tar" or "honor" crimes which is common in southern Egypt. This time a Christian rapist raped a muslim toddler girl, and so the crime was directed towards them. Over the past decades, similar "honor" crimes have been directed towards muslims by muslims. It's not a matter of religion or persecution.

My friend, "Tar" - or revenge - in Egypt happens between families. But when 7 innocent children are massacred because of a mistake of one individual, this is not "Tar" . And it was not a coincidence that these children were shot infront of the church after finishing their prayers.

Sorry to tell you my friend but this was not "tar". You can consider the killing of the guy's dad and burning his house "tar" but killing kids in a different city isn't "tar". Also according to many muslim people who came on tv in egypt including Al-Sadat's brother, the girl was "used", she was known for that in the village.
