i enjoyed the video. we all learn from some where. I am an ASL2 student also and have not had the nerve to post anything yet. So i say keep practicing and don't worry what others say.

Did you not take the time to read the info on the video discription, it clearly states that I watched allyballybabe for accuracy because she is awesome!!!! also, if read my comments you will see one from her... GOSH... she knows and I thanked her and mentioned who inspired my interpretation.
What was the mid term supposed to test you on... i could sing this song in Arabic ( a totally unfamiliar language to me) if someone did the translation for me and i listened to it enough.
Im worried about the message you send to people by giggling and joking throughout the whole thing. Not to be mean, just your professional life as an interpreter will probably not include you and a friend giggling about how silly you seem to think signing is. Otherwise, you seem very emotive when not giggling. Work work work! I hope you become something great!
thanks for your comment but I don't plan on be a professional interpreter... I have a severe hearing loss, I'm just oral, I have only been studying ASL for 1 1/2 years. I'm sorry for giggling and being silly but this was just a practice and my friend was making funny faces at me. I wasn't trying to send a bad message. I would never want to offend anyone. Just posting a video. Thanks for the input...

[DON'T MEAN TO BOTHER] one thing, i promise its only constructive criticism, try not to mouth english. my professor keeps telling us that because usually the facial expression that goes with each particular sign can't be shown completely when you mouth it.
example: little did i know is almost a sign all in itself except for having to point at yourself first and as you swing the F-shape hand by your forehead your tongue sticks out.

I thought using someone else's material/answers as your own is considered cheating, especially on an exam. It is called sign language interpretation not translation. There is more then one way to interpret this song. You could have done the song and not copied sign for sign. Just an FYI, usually you can be kicked out of the class and fail, or be expelled for cheating. It is sad your teacher couldn't interpret this for you on her own and made you learn Ally's version.
