Killing gophers is easy. Just toss a bunch of fast explosives into the hole and blast em apart. Although if you care about your lawn you wanna be careful to not rip open any craters or anything.

Gophers can be pests in several ways. I have a vegetable garden that got gophers in it a few weeks ago. The gophers like to eat all the roots of your vegetables, which pretty much destroys your garden. The people in this video might have had livestock. If a horse steps into a gopher hole, it will break its legs and you have to kill it. Then there are people who want a nice lawn... a bunch of mounds in their yard puts a damper on that.
